I've been using open-wispr.com on my work MacBook, which is quite similar. Downside is that it's only for Mac (Swift Native)

Yeah, I came across open-wispr while looking at available dictation tools. Didn’t try it since it’s Mac-only, but if they ever support other platforms I’d definitely check it out. I wanted something I could recommend to all my friends regardless of platform :)

That's fair, I tried Handy on my Fedora laptop, at the time with AppImage version, and the mic didn't work out of the box, and it wasn't so important to me, so I simply gave up then. I should try this again, now with the RPM version :)
