Every time I'm having a hard time to motivate myself to work on things I just grab my laptop and move to a different room. It kinda resets my brain 'cause the environment has changed. I heard people recommend to rearrange your furniture from time to time for the same reason.

I dress differently. Sometime I wear more conventional male clothes, other times woman clothes. Does the same for me. You should try it too!

idk why this works so well. basically optimized my whole system so I can be productive on a single laptop screen after I realized the boost I get from moving around all day

Same! Especially those tasks that need focus I jump from couch to desk (different room). Often I lose focus there again and move back to the couch lol but: It works!

I also tried to go in the middle of a forest with a battery pack for the phone (Internet access through 4G, 5G) and my laptop. But that time there was too much wind to be able to concentrate efficiently (20 km/h and wind gust of 50 km/h). Will do it again as I love to be outside.

I have heard that walking through a doorway does something to your brain. We tend to leave stuff behind when we cross a threshold. Hence, that is why a lot of times we don’t remember why we went into a certain room.

I know a neuroscientist who studied this in mice. It's because the same brain center and brain cells do memory and sense place. Basically all our memories are rooted in places. So leaving a place also means leaving the associated memories.

Yes. It works well. Your brain goes to same mode you were in your location (perceived by your senses like eyes and smells) and if you change these senses your brain reacts differently to that state and tries new connections through your neurons. This is my understanding from how neurons work.
