A winner?⁉️Who is the deGoogled winner? Only Google knows ‼️

Including that Google will never know I use a deGoogled smart device‼️

Control, and piece of mind that my device is mine

The most important thing to me is PRIVACY!!!!!! i don't want a big corporation to just be able to listen to my conversation, read my mails, track where i am and what more. I like control over my Data.

Good camera app for me, some basic degoogled roms have such sad camera apps

Privacy, updates, security and freedom.

Not having a sim card. Turns out those things are not mere passive pieces of plastic

Not needing a Google account to access my phone's full functionality.

Well said.

can run Balatro

A normal-sized screen.

The choice to have freedom and privacy. A phone shouldn't install Google by default and track your activity, it should allow you to make a conscious choice and let you decide if you want freedom and privacy. Phones are our devices, not theirs, they shouldn't control them with privileged access.

Not being forced to use google-anything as a go-to 🙂‍↕️🖤

Little bit absurd for a degoogled phone, I still need whatsapp ... and banking apps should be reliably supported

Tuta mail ;)!

I already use no Google Apps on my Phone, so why are goolge sevices pre installed, i dont see the reason. Only having something on my Phone that i use/want, thats the most important for me :D

I want to go anywhere without thinking Google is going to bomb me with ads of where I've been.

Never having to take Google at their word when they say "ok, the AI and session-tracking bloat is gone now, prooooomise 😉"

🫡✨

YES!

Just the fact I’d be p’ing off google/American tech that they can’t nose into my life 😁

Agreed 💯

I guess update support for a long time? Security updates will become more intervined with the play services in the future so its important to have a good middleware to replace those but still get the updates. also nice would be a good support of banking apps etc which some of them are mandatory now

Decent map app-I get lost so easily!

Why 8 GB?

Less clutter, more privacy. ✅️

It has to work and it has to look at least decent while doing so 🙂‍↕️

open source os, no tracking and secure access to my mail :), files, etc.

Tuta Mail of course! 💯

That my banking app still works!

Security

Most important, for me, is that banking apps still work.

knowing that everything on my phone isn't being scanned or used to train AI.

A surprisingly unexpected gift for someone very special🧑‍🎓

To protect my right for privacy, to avoid the lack of transparency and thus lack of respect for my human right for privacy and countermeasuring the logic of lives as commodities

Privacy but not at the cost of usability and essential features
