Seems to me like an excellent occasion to do the Danganronpa serie if you haven’t yet. They’re not prefects but still audacious and generous game with a good reflection on what despair do to people. Otherwise I recommend both Lonely Mountains games which still are much underrated to me.

Desert Golfing. It's simple, addictive, fun, and it has a feature few other games do: it's incredibly efficient with the battery on your device. Or at least it is on IOS and Android. Not sure if the same applies on steam deck.

shogun showdown, DRG survivor, darkest dungeon 2, whisker squadron survivor, hi fi rush, maze mice, forbidden solitaire, denshattack, dunjungle, raccoin, vital shell, clover pit, patch quest, astral ascent

PvZ Replanted People hate on it unnecessarily. It's literally all of the features of every major version of PvZ1 with the HD graphics of the console versions and it's widescreen, for a fraction of the price it would be to actually purchase all those versions.

did they ever update the game to add back in the dynamic music that's supposed to change at "huge waves"? that was missing at launch. if they reimplemented that, then i might want to pick that up on switch2

Every single glitch people complained about on day 1 was fixed within 31 days, & everything in the weeks after has been fixed as far as I know as of January 14th. PopCap 100% delivered on fixing everything that was wrong with it on release, & they did it quickly. Replanted is better than PvZ1 now.
