Seeing politicians remain there is the perfect analogy of how they aren't looking for their constituency, they don't care what their constituency wants or thinks or feels. Technologist, politicians, billionaires, & elite live in a simulacrum where none of us matter. That's why you didn't leave.

If I ever meet AOC the first thing (OK probably the second thing) I’d say to her is “why are you still on Xitter? Abandon Elon’s Hellsite and plant your flag on ANY other platform, and people will follow.” Just like how MAGATs have to follow Truth Social to see their leaders latest shits.

It makes zero sense, in that if they leave, everyone will follow. That's how platforms begin and end. But it proves even AOC, mass media, influencers are so silo'd and isolated from the real world, they live in a simulacrum where leaving twitter could be a disaster. But reality is it couldn't be.

I'm uk based. Never seek out the orange turd, but others post his rambles so I can't avoid it. Had so many filters which he seems to bypass. Even got AI to say tangerine instead of his name if it comes up in a reply.

You can't influence people who don't agree with you if you aren't on their channel. 99% of general Xers don't agree with AOC. 50% of those never will 40% of what's left are apathetic The other 10% may be pursuaded . That's why. She is smarter than you .

I dispute your premise. She’s not “changing hearts and minds” over there. She’d be a lot more effective if she would be a guest on Podcasts or other new media that speaks to those groups. (I believe she is doing that somewhat already - GOOD!)
