Longtime supporter here -- EFF's mission is to "defend digital privacy, free speech, and innovation." If that remains the case then it should stay on X (by far its largest audience) and actually engage in "the fight," rather than retreat to heavily-moderated platforms and hamstring its objectives.

I came to the conclusion it had to be. For me it was the Borg on Twitter. Any time I had a conversation about the Fairness Doctrine these right wingers clearly were monitoring for topics and would teleport in and just start throwing scripts. There were many such topics. It got tiring.

Should have been done as soon as Elon sunk in, better late than never I guess.
