This is a beautiful creation! However, I have to say I’m angry that I went through 4+ years of art school, yet nobody taught me that you could blend oil pastels with a piece of paper towel! I probably would’ve tried a lot more things with them if I had known this technique!

The concept of "unjust acts under color of law" is what ICE is doing. Abusing the statutory authority given it by violating rights enshrined by law, but claiming supremacy over consequences for those violations because they are the ones with guns. IT IS INDISPUTABLY WRONG.

The past few days have been rough ones, on a few fronts. Before I resume my regularly scheduled doodling & art posting, I just want to share a thought I've posted elsewhere, but feel is vital for people to read right now.

The thing about the Boston Massacre— the fruits of arbitrary power— was not that the colonists were universally in the right. Things were thrown at the soldiers. But, the presence of a standing army escalated conditions. The use of force that night was not proportional. Citizens died needlessly.
