I had to provide this exact same tech support earlier this year! I have no relevant experience other being younger, less easily intimidated by IT, and more prepared to Google through it. My Dad would have seriously tossed that printer rather than get through it. This shit is infuriating

I found a bunch of other people on an HP support site which is how I found what to do. So very annoying.
