OMG these people are my kind of heros!! Total angels!! So appalling this has to happen but thank God this one was saved!!

Fantastic to see! 🙏 I just wonder why they don't have a good razor knife rather than a dull galley knife on board?

Those nets are pretty thick

😭😞

Happy Friday 😊

👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏

❤️🙏

Relax. These nets are not easy to cut. The netting was wrapped tightly around the turtle. The man wielding the knife was careful. The turtle emerged unscathed and eager to return to the ocean—no need to hold onto it and stress it even more.

That is awesome! Well done. Humans doing something right for once.

Beautiful!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Bless you

That's great 😘

Y'all want to know what real men look like and how they act? With kindness, with care, with intelligence and competency.

Always look for the helpers. Great job!!

That’s a great idea

this is hard to watch and also beautiful to see how the sea turtle was able to freely move about after the net wax removed. thank you to the people that helped save the sea turtle.

💖

Use mom's sewing scissors. Nothing cuts better than mom's sewing scissors.

I love that a child is watching this rescue. Perhaps he'll do the same some day!

All those little future ecologists and marine biologists on the boat who, when they boarded, wanted to be airline pilots, lawyers and truck drivers.

If you eat fish, you are directly responsible for this. 70+% of plastic waste in the oceans is due to discarded fishing nets/gear. You're not stranded, you're not in a food desert. You have grocery stores. If you stop buying, they'll stop producing. Stop eating animals. GO VEGAN!

Thank you granny. Fun turtle

That is so awesome !

Bravo!!!

👏👏😍

Would you rescue this sorry ass turtle. Mitch McConnell 🐢 😕

Million thank you's to the rescuers. 👏 I wished they would've given the starving turtle some jellyfish or something before putting it back in the water. 🐢🪼

Bravo!!

😎👍👏

¡lo salvaron! ¡Maravillosos!

Thank you!!!! Please don’t discard your old nets in the water … they are a death knell to sea life!

LOVELY!!!

Great 👍 just get that guy a pair of safety scissors 😬

Thank you wonderful, caring and kind people ❣️ love turtles! 💕

Sending so much love and gratitude to those who helped! 🙏💗🥰

Bless their hearts.

Thanks guys...

Amazing but I can't help but wonder for every one rescued, how many weren't able to be.

This is so awesome.

Wonderful work, thank you 😊

When it comes to interaction with animals, humans can be the very worst of us or the very best of us. Clearly, the rescuers of this tortoise represent the very, very best of us. 👏👏👏

💚💖💙

Yay!

Some people are good.

I just wish there were so many fake animal videos out there.

Don't. Yes some are real but many are faked and they hurt that animal very badly for video clicks and dollar signs. Don't like these unless you know exactly who made it and what they are filming for. Seriously it's awful and they kill a lot of animals they claim to rescue.

Thank you for the repost Gangsta Granny. 👊

~ 🥹❤️❤️❤️

Why didn’t they show when shark came and ate it!! 😂😂😂😂! Just playing!!

Thank you!!! 💖

A serious tip of the hat. The best of mankind 😍

💙💙💙

Where is a sharp knife🙄

So thankful there are nature loving people that help animals that humans have harmed.

Great rescue

There are good people everywhere

Very cool that there’s a child on board learning to love and respect animals. Watch him stroke the turtle.

Wonderful to see!

Thank you for caring 💞

This is why god invented scissors

That poor baby was exhausted by the end of it. Much good karma to those kind people who did that turtle a solid

. That was beautiful. .

It should be mandatory that every boat have boat hooks, bolt cutters, wire cutters, knives and saws at the ready for the express purpose of freeing entangled wildlife.

Reminded me of this commercial I always liked. youtu.be/pxVtNLP1I4w?...

Nice. That is a lucky turtle. This rescue of this whale shark was used in a memorably nice dignity health commercial some time ago. Hopefully the whale shark healed ok.

Proof there's still humanity left in humans.

A look at the life cycle of Leatherback Sea Turtles and the threats that they face as a result of Human interaction and how declining numbers of Leatherbacks may in turn have a direct effect on Humans even if they never see each other. youtu.be/mGhP6FxELmo

Thank you.

Nice to see actual sea turtle rescue. For a while there was a slew of YouTube scammers that would glue aquarium decor to freshwater turtles, throw them in a tide pool and act like they were saving them as they asked for donations. Videos with millions of views and several hundred thousand likes.

It's just not hard to be nice.

So...it's not the soda can rings? I've been lied too my entire life.

Blessings on these Angels!

I'm sure it was so grateful

Thank you for rescuing this struggling turtle. The good, decent stuff of human kind

😭😭😭

🙏🏻❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻

I won't eat anything with a face

Of course it's realistic. Just stop buying seafood. Stop making excuses. Its not laziness either. It's cost effectiveness. If a net becomes damaged or caught on something they can't get it detached from they just cut it from fhe ship and move on. No one in our situation NEEDS to eat fish.

Who is going to enforce it? No one. Japan just built the biggest whaling ship in the world💩...no one stops them. And Iceland has whale hunts, Canada has their brutal seal hunts etc. Humans exploit animals as long as they can - dolphins in Sea World, elephants beaten for decades, monkeys tortured 😭

Being vegan. If you don’t eat fish no one gonna throw a net to catch that fish.

And rivers and lakes and everywhere else on the planet also.

Look how hard it was to cut that net off. That turtle never would have made it.

Keep eating fish , guys... 🥴

Awesome caring people and that awesome turtle brought tears to my eyes!!! Bless your hearts forever!

If we banned fishing people would starve. Meat price are constantly increasing if we ban fishing people won't have fish a lower price meat to fall back on. Malnutrition is a thing and beans and rice aren't a balanced replacement for protein

GREAT JOB.

Oh, my. Thank you so much...

The dreadful legacy of fishing gear left to harm - thank you good people for the release.

👍

This stream and general chat will be 18+

Easily the nicest thing I've seen all week....

FLY AWAY, BE FREE! Yay they saved the turtle!

This is such a beautiful and heartwarming moment. Thank you to those that helped free this adorable turtle 🐢🫶

This will make you feel better.

Bravo! 👏🐢❤️

Thank you whoever you are. Faith in the human race is hard to come by. This shows that it still lives within some people . ♥️🫶☮️

they need to buy a real knife for that job and something to keep it sharp.

THANK YOU! 💜🙏💚🙏💛

It doesn’t stop to say thank you because we’re the reason it was in that mess in the first place

It’s criminal how much junk is in the oceans I wonder if these polluters would like it if someone dumped a truck load of waste in there fucking living rooms

👍

It’s only a turtle; but it sure shows how people show a lot of ❤️.

🥰🥰

Beautiful! Well done rescue!

Fantastic. I would like to say never cut towards flesh unless cutting flesh is the objective. As someone who has safety trained a lot of young people that was as painful to watch as it was gratifying.

That first minute panic. Are they gonna eat me or cut the net?😱

😍
