The true secret sauce of Bridgy Fed: That it doesn’t just bridge Mastodon and Bluesky, it also bridges them both to and from the IndieWeb. And what’s the IndieWeb? At its core it’s POSH (Plain Old Semantic HTML), with some added WebMention on top. You can even make it work with a static site!

A New Social@anew.social

A new challenger appears 💥 You can now log into the Bridgy Fed settings page with your website using IndieAuth! Bridging your website to the Atmosphere and the Fediverse just got a whole lot easier.

I just wish there was a way to use my Bluesky account with fed. Being an early adopter has its downsides.

Use it in what way?

I have to use bridgy classic to use my existing Bluesky account. I can’t just flip a switch & this account be tied to my domain through fed.

Right, Bridgy Fed would have to support moving ones account to it – like atproto.com/guides/accou... and github.com/eurosky-soci... – only that way would one keep all followers etc I guess?
