Nothing makes maga feel more powerful/proud than making children live in fear. Bullies gotta bully. & for all the smug citizens, your kids get bystander trauma of witnessing armed raids on campus, screams, tears, threats, slurs, violence - new daily fear to add to fear of school shootings

ICE sweeps in elementary schools is what you wanted, WaPo. Don't pretend otherwise. The fascist is in the White House now because the oligarchs wanted it, and you did your part by soft-selling it to America.

Based solely on the title of the article since we stopped subscribing to the WaPo, the idea that any family dealing with immigration status concerns would believe that a public school is a protected environment and safe for their children under this administration is naive and disingenuous at best.

…. But like is it though? It might be safe for a naturally born child (for now) but the undocumented parents or grandparents dropping off or picking up the child … are they really safe? How could you guarantee that?

School leaders are wrong. It’s not safe at all. Schools are government buildings and are going to be the first place ICE manages to gain authority.

To any worried parent. Hit my DMs of you could use some online science/math classes. I'm in Brazil, there's no risk I would denounce anyone, and I can understand spanish/portuguese too. Keep your family safe. Sadly, it's time to homeschooll.
