Could those of us who are his constituents and who admired him for his decades of work - including in the GA legislature long before people like you ever heard of him - have maybe five minutes to remember his life and contributions before you chime in?

Enough is enough! We need term and age limits! The stakes are too high for these people to be dying in office. End the gerontocracy!

He has little control of the House of Representatives.

Stop it. This is my Congressman. He was a thoroughly decent man who even before his time in Congress was a strong voice for gun control and other progressive issues in the state legislature, which was a damn big challenge in Georgia. Not the time. You can wait a couple of days for this.

He might have been a decent man but just like RBG he should have passed the torch. The stakes are too high.

You know, the world could actually wait for a day or so for those of us who are his constituents - people who admired and appreciated his decades fighting the good fight - to remember and appreciate his life before you chime in so nastily. This was a great man and a great public servant.
