ICE is a completely unsalvageable organization. To the extent that we need a police agency to enforce immigration laws, it should be reconstituted from scratch under the Department of Justice. Everyone employed at ICE needs to be summarily fired on Day 1 on a new Democratic administration.

Engage the base, persuade the middle and alienate the opposition should be the only advice political consultants give. Particularly the last point. In politics if you're not on the attack you're losing.
