_incredible_ page and post I’ve been thinking for a long time about a newspaper-like layout with infinite zooming in on topics and stories, and I feel like this would be a really good way to surface summaries

Lovely piece, and I totally agree that LLMs will help tremendously with reading by summarizing and expanding texts on demand. ChatGPT has helped me get through some pretty dense French philosophy—without it, I probably would have given up.

I wonder how valuable peripheral vision is when it comes to highly abstract information like text. The Wikipedia example illustrates this well: I have to focus on each snippet to understand what it's about.
