They didn't like Aaron Swartz's goals (making scientific knowledge more accessible to the public) and they do like the LLM companies' goals (permanently crushing the labor market for knowledge workers)

AI is amazing for adhd because you can take an idea you haven't touched for over a decade and make a prototype in like 4 hours.

the work you need to put into actually understanding something new and seeing it from a novel perspective is why I'm not super concerned about my job

wonder how the kpop demon hunter voice actresses feel like to star in the top movie of the year but see the singers get 100% of press coverage

Just saw the "Common People" Black Mirror episode and I'll be back here in give or take a year once I manage to climb out of this black pit of depression

I have been saying for ~15 years that government agencies cannot require people to go to private social media services for vital public information. This is exactly fucking why. Multiple federal agencies RIGHT NOW require being logged into a site that promotes a second holocaust if you want updates.

Elon's AI is now actively recommending a second Holocaust

Love that the expectation from Bernie after conceding the primary was to be a "team player" and do everything he could for Clinton/Biden/Harris (and be labeled a traitor to the party anyway) but Zohran can win the Dem primary and establishment Dems are masks off "nah fuuuuuck that" class over party

Almost like no one believed this shit in the first place, just a bunch of intellectually dishonest corrupt scumbags that will fight for the right to keep saying "but how will we pay for it???" in perpetuity. Here's hoping Lander primaries Schumer as a first step.

PSA: if you are gleeful about any civilian population getting bombed—be it in tehran, gaza, or tel aviv—you might be an evil piece of shit who's lost the plot

I love that the true progressives in this race seem to understand the moral necessity to block Cuomo and are willing to actually help each other to achieve that. Cuomo is civic poison. Please do not rank him at all on your ballots, friend. He'll hurt us all.

I’m asking for your donation. But it’s not for me. To defeat Andrew Cuomo and turn the page on corruption, we need strong candidates in this race like Speaker Adrienne Adams. NYC, give what you can before Monday night’s deadline!

Damn this was the best Eurovision in recent memory. My top 10: 1. Finland (!!!) 2. Estonia 3. Latvia 4. Austria 5. France 6. Switzerland 7. Israel 8. Sweden 9. Albania 10. Luxembourg A++ across the board, so few misses this year

Special mentions for Ukraine's prog rock fever dream, UK's adorable girl band, Germany's lalalalalala, and Iceland's catchy af song that I'm 100% convinced I've heard before
