How local TV covers I-94 ➡️A big decision that will impact commuters ➡️What this could mean for "a whole lot of drivers." ➡️120,000 people travel this busy stretch every day. No mention of people living within poisoning distance of 94, higher asthma rates, lifespans cut short.

We need something like a land acknowledgement at the beginning of transportation planning meetings addressing "the people we are about to sacrifice for the sake of a whole lotta drivers." I get that change is impossible. It's enough for me that we just acknowledge reality.

The city of Minneapolis produced this map during a recent presentation about the fate of the garbage burner. I took a moment, laid the map over I-94 and had a light bulb moment. Then I shouted "wait, hold on guys I found the source of the cancer!" But nobody listens.
