Toronto came up tonight from one of the real estate ghouls on the Uptown panel. Arguing that Toronto is removing their bike lanes, therefore bike lanes don't work. Stop building them.

She seemed ignorant of the fact that the city of Toronto opposes the removal of these bike lanes. It's being forced on them by the right wing provincial leader of Ontario — like if MN had a GOP governor who hated bike lanes and could dictate to Minneapolis.

Patty Wall: "I did notice today, I was reading articles about the city of Toronto. Toronto spent millions of dollars putting in bike paths and bike lanes in downtown Toronto. They are now spending millions of dollars taking those out, so that's an interesting thing to know."

Then she cautioned against doing bike lanes on Lyndale Ave. The richest people you know, even the ones on a panel of experts, are just constantly pulling it out of their asses.
