This is Roxy. Her head is almost the same size as her body. This is because she is very, very smart. 12/10

It also means that she’ll be able to smell those treats in your pocket from across a field and in a year will be able to hold you down with one paw while she helps herself to those pocket treats!🤣

My GS Collie mix passed in 2021. The next summer I decided to foster a 10 yr. Old Rottie mix, he was found as a stray. His family said they didn't want him back. Their lose is our gain. Unfortunately his hips are starting to go.

When my Shepherd was a puppy we had to put all the food in the pantry in plastic containers because he figured out how to open the door. They are freakishly smart!

This was my Roxi. She was estimated to be 9 or 10 when she passed away last August. She was also very smart and very particular about who she let in her circle of trust. Shepherds are awesome dogs.

Roxy is currently calculating the rubber ball velocity based on the arch it was thrown at, the effect of wind & humidity and how much speed needs to be applied before it bounces 3 times.

😂 A German Shepherd parent yourself I take it? I love watching my shepherd think. You can just see it their eyes how they're problem solving something. I've always said if they had opposable thumbs we'd be in big trouble!

Actually no. We had a malinois/rottweiler cross that looked like a lab in a brindle coat - go figure, and he was smart as a whip, chill as a cucumber and stubborn as a mule. Beat dog ever (aren’t they all?). He left us at 14.5 yrs old in 2022.

Love German shepherds and shepherd mixes! Best dog I ever had was my adopted German/Aussie Shepherd mix! Never had to train him he was so smart he trained us! Sidney, may he run and rest in peace! 💙

Like all babies. And you know, ..she already pegged you as a sucker and will milk it for the rest of your life. Your plan should be to Get a larger bed , a Chevy truck , and introduce her to the neighbors as your new baby like my husband did so she can milk the neighbors too.

We had a Retriever/Shepard cross named Rüfus. He looked like a giant Lab with Shepard colouring. One morning we woke up and his nose had somehow grown to grownup size and then the rest of him eventually grew into it. But, he looked like those ‘big nose’ forced perspective dig pix for 6 months. 🥰
