One day our Bostons were howling. The next day there was an ear splitting screech coming from the kitchen. Having heard the Bostons, the chihuahua had discovered his inner wolf, and the wolf wanted his kibble.

I had an Alaskan Malamute many years ago who would alert us for sirens long before we heard them. Her howl was one if the most beautiful sounds I’ve ever heard. 🫶

My spaniel didn't howl until he was about 6 years old. He only does it for joy. His twin sister picked it up from him. He is a tenor, she is a soprano.
