Tensions at USIP have been escalating for weeks, starting when the Trump administration fired the agency’s 10 board members on March 14 and USIP staffers denied DOGE representatives access at the front door.

Three days later, DOGE staffers made their way into the building, reportedly using a physical key from a former security contractor. As of this past Friday, most USIP staffers have received termination notices.

Court documents filed today reveal the next phase of DOGE’s plans for USIP: to transfer the institute's assets—including its real estate—to the General Services Administration, which DOGE took over in the first weeks of Trump's second term.

To state this plainly: DOGE forced out the directors and staff of a nonexecutive agency, installed one of its own GSA staffers as president, and that person is now attempting to hand the institute’s $500 million headquarters over to the agency he came from, at zero cost.

Dictators work hard to induce despair in resistance movements. We don't have to let them. Open secret: fascist regimes are always much more fragile than they look. We can overcome them with nonviolent resistance. It will require brilliant strategy and implementation, but we can do it.

It's pretty clear that this is probably one of the primary reasons DOGE invaded the Institute of Peace. They want the building...a building not owned by the federal government.

We need to win tomorrow’s elections. It’s the biggest election day since November. Also the November 2025 elections are risky with most incumbents being Blue. We must win every election we can. Apparently Musk is now calling everyone in Wisconsin to propagandize them with a live town hall tonight.

This story is one of the most egregious usurpation of private property. It along with doing away with Habeas Corpus cannot be allowed to stand! Otherwise anyone can be disappeared and any property can be seized with Marco Rubio’s signature!

We must be vigilant... this will not be the last attempt to sieze and sell valuable property out from under the American people. Closely monitor the Bureau of Land management for unusual deals... or leases to cronies. The grift is throughout this T regime, and goes all the way to the top...
