It's really weird to feel America slipping so far behind the rest of the world. We're all backwards red states now. My only hope is that this is the dark age before our eventual enlightenment or renaissance. (The fact that 95% of Americans don't know what those two words mean is not promising.)

Socially, yes. Not technologically. As a country, such a vast number of people were not cheering coal and not vaccinating their kids, etc. 30 years ago. We've moved much further backwards since the Trump cult took hold.

I've seen a lot in 65 years here on earth, somehow I never thought people would turn against vaccines - my grandma cried with happiness when vaccines were coming out - it's so stupid not to get them if you can -

Old used clunkers are going for 8-10k in places like Indiana I can’t even imagine what used cars are going for in better states. So 17k for a brand new tech car that’s great imo. All of it is 100% over priced because no one is making enough.

I drive a pretty normal sized hatchback in a bright color and I have been in situations where those fucking trucks can’t see me. They are so dangerous, in a reasonable country they would be illegal, or at least require an additional license.

It will also be time to say goodbye to a significant market sector for Auto Manufacturers. The damnation of Auto Makers is the precursor to the trump administration going after Unions.
