Tell me how we've had dog shit job creation since Trump took office and unemployment is still firmly below 5 percent. The math ain't mathing.

Yep. Earlier this year I was interviewed by Sharyn Alfonsi of 60 Minutes about my Epstein investigation. Subsequently, CBS pulled the segment and fired the reporter. The MAGA buyout of media is aiding the Trump administration’s Epstein cover up.
Banks permitted millions in suspicious transactions tied to Epstein—and former 60 Minutes correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi had the story months ago. But the report would never air. trib.al/ZShZlIS
The fact that this was a 5-4 decision makes it painfully clear we need drastic court reform.
The idea that people just collectively gave up on their civic duties because of some inherent moral failings is the silliest conservative trope in my opinion. I think it's tied to some deeply entrenched belief that the American system is so perfect it cannot fail, only be failed.
Please stop making excuses for the civic indifference of American voters. "Oh, newspapers got too expensive" No, they didn't. People spent their money on other stuff. We became a decadent, sated society and abandoned our responsibilities as citizens.
Fox News has always been full of partisan hacks but man it's just gutter tabloid trash level stuff these days.
What a wild ride in the comments. We went from "this guy is too stupid to do a simple task like mail merge" to "mail merges are too complex for an LLM to get right" and ended up right back at a bunch of dudes congratulating themselves for being able to do mail merges and list de-dupes themselves.
I don't think this guy realized that LLMs solved an actual problem here. This is a problem that has existed since the beginning of software. There are a lot of capabilities in software that are not worth the time to master for people who now can utilize those capabilities with natural language.

Hegseth should spend a little less time worrying about how he looks in photos and a little more time fixing the fucking disaster he has created in Iran and the Strait of Hormuz.
Exclusive: The Defense Department has barred photojournalists from briefings on the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran after they published photos of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that his staff deemed “unflattering,” according to two people familiar.
I was thinking the same thing but his voice is more relevant than mine. Trying to codify the facts of history into law is a mistake.
I lost my cousin on 9-11 and have had to listen to all kinds of conspiracy theories about what happened and why. The state of New York mandates that it be taught through its curricular standards. That's how you do it. What Virginia is doing is dangerous. open.substack.com/pub/kevinmle...
I have to admit that one of my blindspots for a long time was not recognizing that we have an antisemitism problem on the left too.
We blew up an elementary school full of little Muslim girls and 99% of the government and media can barely even pretend to care. Some of y'all might want to address the fact that Islamophobia is so endemic to our society that Muslims aren't considered people before worrying about antisemitism
This is an excellent talk on LLMs. It's also scary when you realize that people are relying on them so heavily. Oh yeah, and it's racist. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Shus...
This is a great teachable moment to show two things: 1. What the phrase "the exception proves the rule" really means 2. How stupid Clarence Thomas is The whole reason IEEPA exists is to give the president the ability to be exempt from the normal rule. www.foxnews.com/politics/tho...

Trump's entire coalition is held together by a hatred of women. That's why he attracts red-pillers, the trad people, incels, and all manner of misogynists. It's whey they turned out for him against Hillary and Kamala but not Biden. people.com/donald-trump...

Never Trump conservatives all tend to have the same huge blind spot around civil rights and race issues in America. I think it's the cognitive dissonance of realizing the party you were a part of for decades was tolerating the same bigots and racists then that are in power now.
I guess here on Bluesky it's controversial to note that the Democrats, once the majority across this country, were reduced to national minority (in stages, from 1968, to 1980, to 2016) by moving left. But if you'd rather think I'm just making Trump's point...well, whatever helps you cope.

This reflects my sentiments on LLMs pretty accurately. They are not capable enough to actually replace people but that isn't stopping companies from trying. The question is how far down the rabbit hole will they go before realizing their mistake? futurism.com/future-socie...
