The ring is still a part of the swarm.

We put a ring on it! The question is, will we prove to be a good partner for planet Earth?

A very intermittent ring as there is not many of those satellite rock things over the vast oceans of Earth.

Feels like we could get rid of it with the right cleaner and some elbow grease.

Fun fact, that drawing is more or less to scale. If we are to build a space elevator, it needs to go at least a little bit outside that orbit.

That's generally a little further out, where they push the satellites when they reach end of life.

Love this but it would be better if we could send maga to the outer rim of the Oort Cloud.

I've actually used that trick with satellite dishes, but for finding north. Since all the TV satellites around here are in roughly the same spot in the sky, all dishes point in the same direction.

But what would happen if the earth and sun were tidally locked? Either the Earth's rotation matching the moons orbit or vice versa

It's the equator but as seen in space Duhhhh /s
