are people just straight up genning papers? are they straight up not reviewing the things in the doc? how are they linking to whole ass fake sources

people have been stuffing their citations with papers have literally not read, for *ages* (and this sucks). Now people are automating that process, to obvious effect. This is a tiny step in the direction of stemming that tide.
