the main thing that irks me is that we all know that a lot of people with money and power are awful people, so when omarchy gets all this funding, people become apathetic. literally was once asked if i would clutch my pearls every time an awful people made tech. and YEAH we should, they’re BAD.

no, tech didn’t have a bunch of vocal bigots until post musk twitter let them be open with their beliefs. it used to be the outcasts, the nerds, the queers, and the minorities making strides and holding OSS together. now millionaire wannabes are trying hard to take over, by any means necessary.

leading with: i agree that om*rchy sucks (i'm working on an alternative even) but you sure about this? ESR predates lots of us. Hanson himself peaked more than 10 years ago, closer to 15. ~all of the libertarians i have met have been on the computer, especially the dislikes-age-of-consent ones

Omarchy has got to be the biggest joke when it comes to Linux distros. There's nothing special about a glorified window manager 🤦. Don't fall for it my fellow Linux nerds!

Yep, it's Arch with his own personal take on the Hyprland window manager and compositor. DHH has seen the "light" and has gone from being an Apple cultist to "want to be" Mr. Linux guru, evangelizing the masses. What a joke.
