📣This is your reminder that the fight against #ChatControl is still NOT over yet📣 The threat remains to keep ChatControl 1.0 as a permanent legislation beyond April 2028😡 Negotiations for this are planned to continue in November! Find out more 👉 tuta.com/blog/volunta...

So Google is killing Android Freedom but can't even keep its official Play Store safe?! 😡 Take action & sign the petition: keepandroidopen.org/cta/ #Android is supposed to be open, & your phone should be yours → NOT GOOGLES.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST 🧪⚒️ Is this the end of American leadership in geoscience?

NSF has reduced the research budget for all atmospheric, ocean, and earth sciences by ~80%. 80%! A lot of us will not be conducting new research or training new students for the foreseeable future.

I'm genuinely planning to buy a Motorola phone in the future to install GrapheneOS, mostly due to the new rules imposed by Google on third-party developers. So, I'm personally interested in this partnership.

Finally! EU 🇪🇺 designates ChatGPT, Reddit, Roblox under Digital Services Act 🥳 Big Tech has to be held responsible with the #DSA: 🧠 More transparency around algorithms & recommendations 💰 Fines of up to 6% of global annual turnover Let's fight for people's rights, not Big Tech's profits. 💪

"I have nothing to hide." False. You have medical history You have financial behavior You have location patterns You have political views You have relationship data Privacy was never about hiding crimes. It was always about owning your life.

GrapheneOS is partnered with Motorola Mobility which is Lenovo's mobile division. In 2011, Motorola was split into Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions. Google acquired Motorola Mobility in 2012 and sold it to Lenovo in 2014. Motorola Mobility is the company selling smartphones and tablets.

Stop saying stupid stuff like: "If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear." Start saying: "A free country doesn't track innocent citizens."

Its funny how everyone's idea of heaven is a complete untouched paradise, crystal clear waters, lush green forests, enough food for everyone, classless, moneyless, stateless, a Utopia of peace, unity and happiness. But here on earth it's considered a leftist ideology.

Yesterday was a sad day for the privacy of citizens in the EU. In light of yesterday's vote, we wanted to remind you that: Chat Control 1.0 is different from Chat Control 2.0 in that providers (like us at Tuta) are not forced to backdoor their end-to-end encryption for surveillance.

The EU has simply continued to put the vote on the agenda to get the outcome they've wanted since the start. This is not democratic‼️

Norway will always be the GOAT of the energy transition. Instead of talking about the future, they proved it could be done & showed how. In 15 years, new car sales went from 0% to 99% electric, while the rest of the world kept arguing about timing and speed. #Bettrification #EV

The math on nuclear energy really doesn't make sense anymore. "...the average cost of building new wind and solar facilities ordered this year by Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator is about 70 per cent lower than the estimated cost of a new large-scale nuclear power plant."

GrapheneOS opposes authoritarianism. It's a core part of why we're building privacy technology as part of a non-profit open source project. We're opposed to it regardless of whether it comes from left, center or right. The flood of people lying about what we believe and have said won't change this.

Omg it’s literally falling out of the sky for free and people still think voting for Farage in this country is a good idea when he wants more fossil fuels. I just can’t understand their upside down thinking. They’re surfs doomed to vote fore more serfdom. Turkeys. Voting for Xmas.

Android was successful due to being open source and an open platform. Google chose that approach to catch up and get near universal adoption by OEMs and carriers. They've gradually phased in illegal anti-competitive practices making it into a bait and switch. They can be forced to roll it all back.

Resolving most of Google's anti-competitive behavior with Android would be straightforward for regulators: ban the Google Mobile Services licensing model and require Google to make their apps and services work on any AOSP-based OS without privacy invasive access and massive control over the OS.

Still in need of a full-time remote senior/staff-level job! My strengths are TypeScript, Solidity, SQL, C#, and Swift. Decent with Rust. I'm a good team lead too and was once a CTO of a YC company. Boosts for visibility appreciated. Thanks SO much.
