Tomorrow’s budget is a huge opportunity for this Government to turn the tide on the cost of living crisis. One of the easiest ways they could do this is by scrapping energy bill standing charges - the fixed daily fee we all pay before we’ve even boiled a kettle.

Palantir took Sadiq Khan’s office to court over a £50m Met Police contract. The legal battle is now settled, but the firm is still in the running for the deal.

If a US tech firm is prepared to fight public bodies in court over its contracts, what does that mean for our NHS data? Ministers must listen to the hundreds of thousands demanding privacy and kick Palantir out of our NHS.

Why do energy companies charge us before we've even switched the lights on? Andy Burnham has asked his Chancellor to look into scrapping gas standing charges. But why stop at gas? We're calling for unfair standing charges on electricity bills to go too.

Jackdaw has been approved, but Shell and Equinor will trade that gas on the open international market, so it won’t help our bills. It will also operate as an unmanned rig, so local workers won't see the promised benefits either.

Jackdaw has gone through, but ministers have not yet made a final decision on Rosebank, an oil field three times larger. We need the PM to focus on an energy plan to actually lower our bills, like nationwide home insulation and secure, locally-generated green power for our British Isles.

Are airport drop-off fees a real way to cut pollution and traffic, or just an unfair cash grab? Environmental groups argue that airport drop-off fees help cut toxic air pollution and tackle congestion by nudging people towards public transport.

Our joint research with @ippr.org proves that we don't have to accept crumbling public services. Just a 2% tax on assets over £10 million could deliver 90,000 new council houses and help 900,000 people with locally led support to get them into good jobs.

This tax would only impact the wealthiest multi-millionaires and could transform the everyday lives of ordinary people. It could also fund 130,000 additional care workers and provide 5 million £200 emergency cost-of-living payments. Read more in The Mirror: www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

Andy Burnham is about to approve two massive new North Sea drilling sites, the Jackdaw and Rosebanks fields, under the false promise of cheaper energy and local jobs.

In reality, energy giants Shell and Equinor will sell what they drill to the highest bidder, leaving us at the mercy of global price spikes, and there’s no promise of securing work for local communities either as Jackdaw is designed to be an unmanned rig.

Yesterday, we took a giant ad van straight to the streets of Bromley after undercover footage exposed a local Reform councillor describing local children as “animals”.

We refuse to stand by in silence while elected officials use vile, dehumanising language against children in the very communities they are supposed to represent.

Andy Burnham launches campaign against ‘headphone dodgers’ on public transport. Do you support this? The new guidance allows local authorities to hand out £100 fines on bus passengers blasting music or watching videos out loud.

This summer, the Government temporarily cut VAT on family attractions from 20% to 5%, helping families save money on days out. But that support has now ended, and prices are rising again. Should Chancellor John Healey make the 5% rate permanent so more families can afford to make memories together?

This is what the founder of Palantir really thinks of our NHS. Why are we giving them £330 million of NHS contracts - when they have nothing but disdain for our National Healthcare system?

Ofwat finally doing their job?!?! Water bills across the country are expected to come down by £240 million by 2030 after several companies will face fines for failing to meet environmental and customer service targets.

Tell us something we didn’t already know... But the Govt’s own ethics watchdog officially admitting that relying on political mega-donors hands them “undue influence” is still a massive moment for our campaign to cap political donations.
