Remembering Richard “Levelord” Gray. In this interview, Richard reflects on the creative freedom he and Allen Blum had while designing the iconic levels of Duke Nukem 3D.

Genuinely saddened to hear this. I will never forget stumbling across "You're not supposed to be here" in the Build editor in the late 90s... exploring his work in Duke3D and figuring out how he made things look and play so well inspired the heck outta me.

Richard B. Gray - LEVELORD 11/15/1957 - 10/12/2026 Just heard the news that an old friend of mine has passed on. Richard Gray - aka Levelord has departed the planet. I know he's dealt with cancer on and off for awhile now, a word that I cannot stand. Word comes from his wife Olga.

Devastating news today. Richard “Levelord” Gray was such a great guy. Like many of our friends, I wish I could have hung out with him again. He was full of life, a gentle soul, and an excellent level designer. He was called “Levelord” for a reason.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Richard “Levelord” Gray. From his legendary work on Duke Nukem 3D to the countless players and developers he inspired, Richard leaves behind a lasting legacy. Rest in peace, Levelord.

RIP. Not only were his levels dope, but I had a bunch of nice interactions with him over email in the 90s as a dumb kid trying to figure his way around Duke 3D level editing.

I've been having the time of my life with E-Day's campaign. I also happened to see some of the steam and youtube stuff decrying woke because ________ . Very disappointing to see so many people who live life in such a passenger, exclusionary, vapid manner. Children are picky eaters. Grow up.

Finally had some time to play the new Onimusha on a flight tonight and it's not quite the Onimusha I was expecting, but it's pretty dope. The first big Sasaki Ganryu fight was pretty exciting and a nice way to FORCE ME TO PLAY THE GAME RIGHT. Digging it a lot. Where is Onimusha 3: Demon Siege!?

As excited as I am for Samus to get a new title, I am not excited for a third title in the "analog stick" series of control methods. It might as well be gated behind a flight stick or sega activator. A 2D metroid game without dpad controls is just stupid.

I played through the original Mafia when it came out in 2002, but I really have to highlight what a wonderful acting job that Paulie did in the definitive edition. He just owns the character so hard and feels like a real person while you're playing.

I get it, I've been homeless in the past for a total of around like...two years? If you need a gofundme for rent for more than a month or two you need to figure out a hustle instead of farming your identity out to the internet and begging
