Elite Dangerous really is the best game at expressing awe of the cosmos along with its counterpart the futility of anything humans can do. You can really feel it if you've spent a while driving around a surface and then launch back to space.

When a game has paragraphs of stuff to relate to the player I vastly prefer actual paragraphs instead of slowly waiting for some lame NPC to meander their way through voiced exposition.

When the planes hit I was proselytizing in el rincon del diablo and downtown in Laredo. We rushed back to the apartment when my companion saw the smoking aftermath of the Pentagon on a shop window TV. He made calls looking for his dad, a DoD worker. Later, I saw tanks blocking all the bridges.

How do other disabled people endure the isolation, poverty, decay, and futility? Do they even endure it? My experience must be somehow different than those that do.

News from the dentist. I will never have the money and im also not allowed to have enough money to get my dental problems fixed. I guess I'll just die.

Resenting how my strengths, such as they are, only seem to support my persistence. An empty, painful, hopeless shell of a human life laden with failure and decay. I want to give it up and disappear completely, unremembered, unremarked.

man i used to be good. I was an on site office/home pc tech before i became disabled, but just now my aunt calls with a basic wifi problem and i cant solve shit. it feels bad and i worry that my decreasing usefulness will drive further isolation :(

Skinned my knuckles and bled all over doing my apartment inspection cleanup, surely this will please the spirits and the inspection will pass with no issue.

#noita why doesn't my wand do the damage it should, these add damage modifiers should be all applying to all of the digging bolts but the thing only hits for about 30

X4 Foundations becomes mostly a management and strategy game the more you play it. Here you can see my terraforming station and some of the stations I've built to support it, and the steady trickle of drop drones full of supplies descending to the target planet.

This makes negative money, but I've reached a point where no amount of vanity projects could ever drain my cash reserves or interrupt my income.

Struggling to like Mina the Hollower. It's well-crafted in all respects but a lot about the moment-to-moment play leaves me feeling flat. Especially the constant double dipping on incoming damage.

I hate to ask, but Meso - you might know him as a Starsector modder/community member, and he's also a contributor to the game - is in debt after caring for his sick mother, and now in real trouble. Any help would be amazing. Thank you for reading this. www.gofundme.com/f/help-me-ca...

I'm in a little trouble. A new toothache is starting up, which is super hard to get treated because of being so poor and disabled. The clinic I used to go to isn't an option cause I don't have a car anymore so this is going to take something else to get solved.

Of course it was just normal automated notifications and not something serious or fatal. Experience shows nothing but. I just wish it was more up to me whether to be laid low by routine paperwork. I suppose that's why its a disability.
