Vibe coded pull requests that basically rewrite every line of code in your repo. Yep, I'm not gonna merge that.

Had my first case of a prospective client get in touch about an app they “vibe coded” (their words) and needing help getting it working. Nah. Fuck that shit. Not touching it with a barge pole.

Question for vibe coders: How do you create/manage your stack-specific context files (.cursorrules etc)? - do you hand-roll them for every project? - or get LLMs to write them? - do you keep a context library for different stacks? - or copy from a website? - is this a PITA that needs a solution?

Everyone I know who codes using LLMs all seem to stick to next/react/shadcn etc. I'm wondering what people's experiences are with other frameworks, eg Vue or Svelte, or even non-JS stacks. Are the models capable enough to veer off the beaten path or are we not there yet?

Had a slightly disappointing week with a work opportunity that, well, didn't work out. Need to do a flex build 💪🏻 to get my mojo back. What should I build?

As a brit watching reports of the LA fires, I have one question: What is so wrong with the word "burgle" that you had to invent "burglarize"?

OK this is a wild start to 2025 - my name and work has been used in a crypto fraud that has robbed people of some $100k. The scam took about 10 minutes to pull off, and I was unaware of my “involvement” until several hours after it ended. 🧵

I was unaware that any of this had happened until people found my real X profile and began accusing me of being a “rugger”. It took a while for me to figure out WTF was happening. It sucks that people lost money, but I think people buying these kinds of tokens know the game they’re playing.

So there you have it. Be careful out there. Oh, and this seems very sensible: bsky.app/profile/bsky...

Guess what? Someone claimed the lebrunel X handle and created a profile with my name and profile pic. When they began posting about this new token launch, anyone doing dUe dILigENce would check the token, see the GitHub profile linked to the fake X account, and conclude “looks legit!”

I can’t imagine that if I ever launched a real crowdfunding token for my somewhat obscure OS code, that any mf would buy it. But these scammers obviously know a trick that I don’t and people did buy. In 10 minutes they raised $100k... and then pulled the rug.

So, someone launched an Agentflow token, used the logo from the Agentflow website, pitched it as some kind of crowd-funding ICO thingy, and shilled it on Telegram. But here’s the slightly clever bit and why this scam worked as opposed to being yet another obvious scam...

On a few different websites I use the handle “lebrunel”. That’s my GitHub username, and used to be my X handle too. About 6mo ago I changed my X handle to my real name... but crucially, I forgot to update the link from my Github profile to my X profile - it continued to link to the old handle.

So what happened? Scammers posing as me launched an Agentflow token on Solana, pitched it as some kind of crowdfunding token for my OS project. They launched it on a site called pump.fun, promoted the launch on Telegram, and the key move of the scam was pulled off on X.

If you’ve never come across pump.fun before (I hadn’t), it’s as bad as it sounds. It’s like 4chan for token launches with anons engaging in some good old fashioned pump’n’dump fun. Anyone can launch a token, give it an icon, and shill the fk out of it.

Good morning and happy new year. I love Christmas, but I always descend into completely ferrel eating and sleeping habits, making this day where normality begins to return, one of my favourite days of the year.

I don’t often pay on the Xbox, but when I do, I binge endlessly for days. Indy and the great circle has currently got me 🎮 😍

As always, I release this with a bit of trepidation. To date, Agentflow has been tested by precisely one user... me! I’d be astonished if there weren’t things that are royally broken, and there’s still loads to do. But hopefully there’s enough to pique your interest. github.com/lebrunel/age...

I’d love to know what your first impressions are - good or bad. Is this something you would use over some of the more complex enterprise agent tools out there? If you have any questions, fire away, and I’ll do my best to answer them all.

Agentflow is model agnostic. Under the hood it’s using @sdk.vercel.ai, so can be configured to use any supported AI provider, (that’s pretty much all of them btw, including local models with Ollama). Any tools supported by the Vercel AI SDK can be used too. agentflow.2point0.ai/guide/ai-gen...

agentflow.2point0.aiAI generationsLearn how to generate text and structured data with AI models in Agentflow. Covers text generation, object generation, and configuring AI providers like OpenAI and Anthropic.

A bit of #buildinpublic stats: - The first working version of Agentflow was built in 1 month - It took another month to write and build the documentation site - Final tweaks and polishing, I aimed for 2 weeks, but ended up taking, erm, another 2 months 😬 (why is it always like that?)

Here's a simple workflow. Just plain English + some simple actions. That's it! A workflow is plain text - it’s Markdown with some added syntax for structure, actions and expressions. Workflows support loops and conditionals, can generate text and objects, and do other things like execute code.

Having a complete and utter mare today 😩 Was planning to release what I've been working on for the last few months but for reasons best described as, my own stupid f**king fault, I've locked myself out from publishing to a critical npm package. This is #buildinpublic in all its glory.

I know a lot of people (including me) raised their eyebrows when Anthropic increased the price of Haiku... But I've given it a good run-out today and I have to admit, Haiku 3.5 is noticeably more impressive than 3. I'd say Haiku can replace Sonnet for a lot of every day jobs.

Attitudes to tech will be the big social divide of the future. Left vs right is so 19th century. Forward vs back is where its at now. (divisiveness is toxic no matter who it comes from)

people on this platform will take your words out of context, twist, not mention your correction, because they just want to hate on what you work on, and insult you comfortably. I'll keep posting here about my work but will not be interacting with anyone who wants to bash on my company.

I read recently that X penalises users for posting links, which is why you see this thing of users posting info about a link, and putting the link itself into a reply. I have questions: 1. Is this true, and how do we *know* X penalises this? 2. Is there a logical reason why X does this?

The first bit of pitchfork wielding bluesky controversy I've seen. Again, just like old twitter 😆 Complex issue. I do wonder where the line is where data from a free and inherently open network can be happily used for some things but not others.

Daniel van Strien@danielvanstrien.bsky.social

I've removed the Bluesky data from the repo. While I wanted to support tool development for the platform, I recognize this approach violated principles of transparency and consent in data collection. I apologize for this mistake.
