This is a local intersection in my community. I felt it appropriate to share it with those who remember Tom Skerritt fondly. RIP. #TomSkerritt #TopGun

My post of my post is now posted on the Cults3D home page. Yea! ๐Ÿ˜† @cults3d.bsky.social

๐ŸŽ‰New post! Literally. I posted my new post about my new post! "BRB Post" is now an essential element of my classroom restroom pass policy. I made some for other teachers too. Great visual for the whole class when someone is out. "New post" at Cults3D: cults3d.com/:5052123 @cults3d.bsky.social

Look! No tower! ๐Ÿคฏ First @prusa3d.com XL print without a wipe tower. Overall I'm pleased. All "blobs" flicked off, but some perimeters didn't have enough time to prime. I could see how this would work much better with a model that has more infill & perimeters. STL soon to @cults3d.bsky.social.

My first significant foray into "painting" with PrusaSlicer. I had a special request for a fun Falcon in our school colors. I eventually found an "eagle" by Wannub on MakerWorld that fit the bill (beak?), and I soared into painting it with school pride! Printed on @prusa3d.com XL. Go Falcons!

I have now tried setting up the file from scratch with PrusaSlicer v 3.0.0-alpha12 and I have the same result: fuzzy skin on inner walls within the model. Can anyone please help point me in the right direction to report this issue to @prusa3d.com as a bug report? See original post below. Thanks!

I have a PrusaSlicer question/bug report. @prusa3d.com 6/24: Saved a .3mf file with "Paint-On Fuzzy Skin" w/ only outer walls fuzzy. Today: PS v 2.9.6 (released 6/25) and slice model, now fuzzy skin in between parts (screenshot). Re-painting fuzzy skin still creates unwanted "fuzz" in middle. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I'm going to revisit some of my "Flat Jacks" from 2022 today. This was a fun project based on the jack-o'-lantern models that my family designed in earlier years. Maybe I will be inspired to make a new one... ๐Ÿค” ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ at Cults3D. @cults3d.bsky.social

Nice meeting Greg from @cookiecad.com at the @makerfaireoc.com last weekend. ๐Ÿ˜Š I hadn't tried their filament yet, but I love their colors. My daughter picked out a spool of Vanilla Redberry that we took home. We chose a few of my models to print and the filament looks fantastic! ๐Ÿค๐Ÿฉท

Some practical #3DPrinting last weekend worked very well in my classroom for a few different activities last week. I have 46 seats this year for my largest class, so my other classes have extra desks. I made some for other teachers too. Model coming soon to Cults3D. @cults3d.bsky.social.

๐ŸŽ‰ New Post! "Squeezer Set" โ˜€๏ธ My spin on the toothpaste squeezer. Our sunscreen is a tough squeeze this summer and we decided that different widths work well as a set. Now I have little gifts for friends and family this summer too! Model at Cults3D. Link in bio and comments. @cults3d.bsky.social

๐ŸŽ‰ New Post! I made this "Straight Sword" for a friend's costume. Most of what I found online was too fancy and/or looked unprintable. Easier (and more fun) to design my own! Prints in two parts with single extrusion, and I didn't need glue. At Cults3D. Link in bio & comments. @cults3d.bsky.social

My favorite prints for the 4th of July! ๐ŸŽ‡๐ŸŽ‡๐ŸŽ‡ The headbands are a hit with all ages and fast to print. Check out the texture in the white part of the sign. Both designs at Cults3D. Link in my bio and in comments. @cults3d.bsky.social #FourthOfJuly #America250 #3DPrinting

New Post! ๐ŸŽ‰ This is a fun one! ๐Ÿจ I turned my Ice Cream Sandwich model into a Fidget Clicker! Print with one flavor or Neapolitan style. The use of "Fuzzy Skin" makes it even more delicious! Model files now at Cults3D. Link in bio & comments. @cults3d.bsky.social

๐Ÿฅณโญ๐ŸŽ‰ My 300th post at Cults3D! ๐ŸŽ‰โญ๐Ÿฅณ "Fidget Fish" has click or flick options! The flick is fully 3D printable with the included spring model. Waves hold up to 5 fish. Mix and match effects and colors. Now at Cults3D. Link in bio and comments below. @cults3d.bsky.social #3DPrinting

๐ŸŽ‰ New Post! My "Trash Can" is now a "Fidget Clicker"! My son wants to try clickers this summer and I thought this was a good start. I also designed a printable spring for a switch alternative. STLs available at Cults3D. Link in my bio and comments below. @cults3d.bsky.social

After printing these steering wheels for all 4 of us to play together, they were a little tough to manage on the shelf. We needed a stand! Stand models now included with the original steering wheel design. Check out the post below to see it in action. #3DPrinting @cults3d.bsky.social
