I don't have statistics more recent than this, but I suspect the situation is still similar now, and it can probably safely be extrapolated meaning that thousands of the 7000+ government services aren't digital accessible to the minimum required standards. #accessibility #AccessibilityRegulations

Twenty four of the ‘Top 75’ government services failed to meet basic accessibility standards in Q1 2024. From www.gov.uk/government/p... #Accessibility #a11y #AccessibilityRegulations

This is a great opportunity to help make sure government information and services are available to everyone #a11y #Accessibility

I'm grateful for every single one of you who has recommended my course and has been advocate for it over the years. I'm so incredibly proud of how far it's reached and how many careers it has influenced (literally)! Thank you so much! 🩷

@xkcd.com what would the world be like now if we had never discovered how to harness electricity? Would we have incredibly complex mechanical computers, would steam supercars be a thing, would the worlds biggest company make candles, would we have exhausted fossil fuels?

On Bluesky and LinkedIn, the hashtag #accessibility allows you to find lots of accessibility-related resources. To find accessibility resources in Spanish, use the hashtag #accesibilidad. The hashtag #accessibilité helps you find resources in French.

Amusing little Macbook bug - it turns out that if you plug the USB-C end of the Magsafe cable into the Macbook, it thinks the battery is being charged, Maybe it's a feature and Apple are trialling perpetual motion through power loops.

Look, it’s trite to say, but I’m gonna say it anyway: tell your people that you love them. Apologize when you screw up, check in just to say hi, celebrate every mundane happiness you can with them. They need it more than you know, and so do you.

I've also just been in "big tech world" since like 2017 so what do I know. Maybe the grass is greener on the other side.

I’ve started a small scale repair shop specialising in brass and copper cleaning and restoration. My website makes things clear but I still get loads of questions. I don’t know why people keep giving me the verdigris. #RateMyPun
