Took part in my first #EMFCamp this weekend and...bloody hell everyone that was a genuinely life changing experience. Can't believe I have to wait two years for another one but also amazing that they put something like this on every two years. xx

Last I'll post about this, but Elon Musk disagrees with me. This means I am onto something, and I feel more valid in my opinion than ever.

Don't let billionaires convince you slop is the future. They're used to managing & directing, not making things themselves. Of course they can't see the difference. They don't understand your love for the craft. Keep making personal, beautiful games. You've got my support 💖

This isn’t funny, it went on hit a policeman who now has piano keys where his teeth should be.

obviously many more important takeaways from the French approach to protest, but much respect to the absolute varsity level Whimsy of throwing a whole ass piano at the cops

I've just learned that Freeplay has removed me as a sponsor for Parallels due to an accusation from a speaker that I am a "zionist". Where did the speaker get this idea? Because Unpacking was included in a listicle in an online Jewish publication a few days ago. I didn't even know about the article.

Jacob Geller is no longer a part of MinnMax. He won't be on content moving forward and we won't be publicly airing this week's episode of The MinnMax Show. We're in shock and deeply hurt. Thank you for your patience during this sensitive time.

As Order of the Sinking Star is coming out next month, in advance of review coverage coming in I wanted to add one thing to my last statement about the game: bsky.app/profile/drak... (note: at that time I didn’t have a separate personal account)

Draknek & Friends@draknek.bsky.social

So, “Order of the Sinking Star” by Thekla was just announced, which takes several small free games (two of which are mine) and gives them a major graphical upgrade and mashes up their rulesets. I haven’t been very involved but it’s a great concept and looks cool.

It’s not what Emily means at all but I’m now very enthused about the idea of a TTRPG archive printed on big scrolls of true vellum like British acts of parliament.

Dr. Emily Friedman@ecfriedman.com

Several folks are rolling “crowd sourced” TTRPG-related databases. I love data! But I love SUSTAINABLE projects. Any site aiming to collect data (ESPECIALLY now) should have a page detailing: - metadata structure - initial seed corpus - intended audience - tech documentation - interoperability

This nasty little compilation of Trumpian fascist distractions exists more to rile people up than to persuade anyone of anything - nobody is going to be radicalised by a horrid take on Snake where you capture migrants. But nonetheless, people shouldn't be blind to gaming's propagandist potential:

The fallout from the collapse of this glacier - a torrent of mud surging down the valley - killed hundreds of people. Gone, in a flash. Those people were wiped out by anthropogenic climate change. Our governments are simply not responding quickly enough to this disaster which is already upon us.

An incredibly well-timed Landsat 9 pass captured the effects of yesterday’s catastrophic glacier collapse near the Nepal–Tibet border. The event was so massive that it was detected by seismometers around the world.
