Great news! A machine can now tell if your flesh is likely to require medical intervention in the next five years. Medical insurers insist it is only fair to the premiums paid by the honest & healthy to deny cover to those carrying predetermined sickness.

Bivium will have the worst marketing campaign because I remain unconvinced people should be allowed to play it. (That's what the raging imposter syndrome told me to say.)

The illustrious magazine Killscreen has been relaunched big time, and it's covering indie / art games at a volume never seen before. It has a very reasonably priced premium subscription too: www.killscreen.com

Paolo Pedercini's Molleindustria cast an ecosocialist Pittsburgh from a volunteer theater's regulars, then brought it back to the neighborhood.

killscreen.comLIKELIKE's year closed with a party for Future? No Thanks! On Friday, Oct. 2, LIKELIKE, the neo-arcade Paolo Pedercini directs at 205 N. Evaline St. in Pittsburgh's Garfield neighborhood, opened from 7 to 11 PM for one night during the Unblurred gallery crawl. The occasion was a late release party for _Future? No Thanks!_ , the Molleindustria game that had been on Steam since Sept. 4. The announcement billed it as the last LIKELIKE event of the year and promised merch and a chance to meet the local cast. 0:00 /0:24 1× The opening of the announcement trailer for __Future? No Thanks!__ , silent here. The full trailer with sound is on Steam. _Future? No Thanks!_ is an open-world comedy set in an ecosocialist Pittsburgh in 2045, where Harvey Huffstone, a grumpy elder, works through a bucket list before a self-scheduled euthanasia. The credits list more than 40 voice performers, drawn, LIKELIKE says, from the community around Glitterbox Theater, a volunteer-run venue in Homestead. Tenley Schmida directed the voices and performed the motion capture, Dave English plays Harvey, and Glitterbox co-founder Teresa "Tree" Martuccio has a part. The same page dates the work: made "between January 7, 2021 and July 9, 2026 in Pittsburgh, PA." Getting there was rough. Valve held the game in review past its July 22 launch over what Molleindustria described as "dozens of untextured polygons," then gave it an adults-only rating that the Pedercini called "the most humiliating and surreal experience in 20+ years of game making." The rating came down in late August. Scenes from __Future? No Thanks!__ Images: Molleindustria via Steam Release parties in neighborhood arcades rarely make the games press. I recall @mattweiner19.bsky.social suggesting guest writers to speed Bivium up and I thought no these people will do a great job so everyone will remember Bivium as that game with "an inspired dragon sidequest" but the rest goes down like sour milk Keep the quality consistent! that is to say, low

Never been a more moral time to be buying indie games instead of the Big Boys. It's like getting your coffee from the locally owned cafe on the high street instead of a massive bucket of watered down piss slurry from EvilCoffeeCorp that burns down the rainforest. Buy indie, they have your back.

NEW: Epic Games has delayed its upcoming (not yet announced) Star Wars + Marvel shooter as it pivots to complete AI game development. "No more hand-written code," a director told staff. All art "generated with full AI workflows." Full scoop: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

It's fine. I can rename the city my game is set in. At the very last minute. I'm sure there'll be no ramifications from issuing a global Find and Replace. Ha ha ha. Ha ha.

I went looking for an fps in my existing collection and Steam helpfully offered Paradise Killer, which is a first person *explorer*. I installed. Then I noticed I had Wolfenstein: The New Order and installed that as an actual fps solid gold whiplash when I switch a gaming session between these two

Oh god though. Imagine being a flintstones and getting an appliance that's really into it. Like, everyone else's vacuum beast is all "it's a living" and yours is just snuffling about the place going "yes daddy more, more". Toilet pelican quietly whispering "thank you".

I've discovered this is affecting all games, it isn't specific to He Who Watches. Why this started happening, I have no clue, but the most robust solution is WIN+P and selecting "PC screen only" before play. If I plan to stream again, I need to fix it because streaming with two monitors is heaven.

Electron Dance@electrondance.com

A new problem I'm having with He Who Watches is that in the last week, the mouse keeps moving out of the game onto the other monitor. This wasn't a problem initially and the only solution I've found right now is rearrange my displays so mouse escape is unlikely.

Was just about to uninstall Carceri as I'm done with it, but noticed there's been an update TODAY. Although against AI art, the dev put some AI imagery in because he was making a comment of AI gen 'art' vs human art - but it just made him increasingly uncomfortable over time. All removed. 1/2

I was concerned about sharing this photo in case anyone expected a new video from either of us soon. Not before I finish my game, people! Take heart though - I'm pretty sure I'll be done in about two weeks i have never ever said this before

This is true. In 2016, I got into an argument with a gay man on a menswear forum. I've since made it my mission to make every man dress gay, thereby destroying his ability to tell who is actually gay and, ultimately, his chances of finding love. I built my social media following to achieve that goal

My fellow humans, I once again nudge you towards Crashbook, because it contains 28 games that I have not played. What's the point, you ask? THERE IS NONE. New list here: www.electrondance.co... Screenshots shown: The Arab League of Misfits, The House Before, Aerial_Knight’s MrFreezy, SPRAWL zero
