Trump has debased the United States and plumbed the depths of cruelty and inhumanity. The worse scandal, however, is how the political system and civic society permitted such a person to get even close to the White House.

I am frankly more concerned about the apathy of the American public and even more importantly the lack of leadership in the Democratic Party. This is not a dress rehearsal. Every single American must speak out against this Facist administration.

I have no delusions about Obama's contribution to the abysmal state of our immigration policy. However, in fighting tyranny and fascism I will take allies from any quarter. After fascism is wiped out we can return to normal political discourse.
