VIOLA SMITH was the โ€œfastest girl drummer in the worldโ€ and promoted as the original โ€œhep girlโ€ in the 1930โ€™s. She was a pioneer blazing a path for women in what had been an entirely male preserve. Viola passed away in October of 2020 aged 107. A special & talented lady.
