Printed and assembled these beauties for our group. They all opened them on a call together last night. <3 100% finishing Big Walk with 'em is a gaming highlight of my life. I hope the walkie-talkies remind us of the time we spent walkin' together all those nights. cc @househouse.com (thank you)

Has anyone started a company solely to experiment with the idea of answering every single cold email they'd receive positively?

What're some games out there whose visual restraints define the art style? I'm hesitant to say 'minimal art style' here but if that helps, consider it. Games like Mini Motorways, SPACEPLAN, Sunflowers, many .io type games (Slither.io Agar.io especially).

I want a companion game to Big Walk that is the Big Hang and its just a small area made for hangin' with a bunch of social toys and things to chill on. I'd host every work call and 1:1 catch-up in there.

Finished Big Walk with my gaming group yesterday. Best of that genre we’ve played, and one of my favourite games in decades. Play it end to end with the same group if you can. You’ll land on feelings games don’t usually give you, but life does. I woke up still emotional about what we did together

And id say this particular, very specific feeling is one that only Big Walk has given us when we finished it. More than other “friendslops” or any other game we’ve played together.

Waking up today was like waking up after a long holiday with friends, who bonded in ways they’ve not before. My luggage is still by the front door, packed but my clothes stink, and I want to go again.

Like one does when returning home from an epic trip with your friends I’m already wanting to plan and looking forward to the next time we get together. That’s a very real, very specific kind of emotion BW delivers.

no co-op game has ever put all the players into the same emotional wavelength so intentionally and effortlessly - it feels as if we all took a psychedelic substance at exactly the same time, experiencing the same joy, and being closer for it

Gotta catch ‘em all. There’s an app called Spot that pings you when a plane, the ISS, a train, or a tracked sea creature is passing nearby. React fast enough and you AR-snap a photo straight into your collection. I’m nearly on my 80th plane and it’s been four days.

In our first month, over 220,000 players have joined us on the ESS Starseeker!!! Thanks for all the feedback, both positive and critical. We are making big changes to the roadmap in response, starting with our first update next week! Stay tuned for more details. 🚀 🚀

Organizing a disorganized space remains my #1 way to destress. Batteries. Tape. Furniture pads. Erasers. Stud finder. Cable conduits. Key caps. Magic the Gathering decks. Watch straps. Tape measure. Tylenol. All of it. Everything. Stored in cubbies. Snug as a bug and I am calm.

Grip tape in their own space from construction tape. Batteries stood safely and organized from A to E. Furniture pads that move separated from those that grip. Keys all together with their locks. Hand tools separate from electric tools. USB on their own. HDMI chillin. Display Port snug.

Hell, my metric tape measure has its own cubby away from the dirty imperial one we all side eye when it gets pulled for use. All my Hoto tools organized tool by accessories. Laughed at myself for feel proud while I wrote this out. Anyway I’d take photos but I’m in an uber on my way to cocktails.

Writing scares me. There are topics outside of games I'm passionate about. Giving myself a place to improve with writing and explore those topics was important. A few months ago I had the idea to update my website and unpack some thoughts I've had on various art, design, creation type topics.

My dream game experience launched today: an online PvE co-op action game within the Astroneer universe. A game about community, connectivity, selflessness, and generosity. Today it is out in early access on all platforms and I can't wait to see where the ESS Starseeker goes next.

The day has finally arrived. STARSEEKER: Astroneer Expeditions is now available in Early Access! Join the crew today to begin your journey on Steam, the Xbox for PC App, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.

25 years in games.. I've worked with a lot of talented people. This group is something else. They took a thesis we've held for a long time; a game can foster community while its players are generous and kind with one another and built it with care, love, and their absolute best.

Pride is how I am feeling, for sure. But even more apt is my feeling of gratitude. Whether literally or virtually I got to be in the room while these people made something real. What a privilege it's been and I can't wait for early access and beyond.

Come check out STARSEEKER next week ahead of its early access release and help us kick the tires on server loads and network tests.

Early Access is just a few short weeks away! 🗓️ Help us prepare for takeoff with our final playtest. We’ll have a Network Test running on June 5th and 6th to do some final checks on our servers. Find out how to participate here: buff.ly/eK7aLxB

Starseeker is out June 11th on all platforms in early access. The earliest doodle I could find in a notebook was dated May 20th, 2019. I've been thinking about this game for 7 years almost to the day. And now its out in a few weeks????

STARSEEKER: Astroneer Expeditions@starseekergame.systemera.net

Get ready to join the crew! 🚀 Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions is coming to Early Access on June 11. Work together with the space station to take on planet-wide challenges, lead expeditions into alien worlds, and more!

Early access means we're genuinely not done. We have a roadmap, we want feedback, and what this game becomes over the next year gets shaped by the people who show up and play it. bsky.app/profile/star...

"If you've used a performance capture volume you're AAA and everything else is indie" is my joke reply. That term is so washed these days. The OG in mean wants to think its "complete studio independence" with influence from (perceived) budget and team size.

Making video games for a living means you get to say "throbber" as a professional to other professionals and no one is allowed to laugh.

People are already using AI to query for technical or fundamental solutions to problems inside of Blender and Unreal, that won't go away with news like Anthropic investing in Blender today. The inverse flow of what AI is learning is what has me concerend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 A slow burn with stellar animation and art. I couldn’t help but think about Cairn when I watched. Mountaineering being the obvious connection but more so in how it unpacks obsession and dedication; if you’ve ever stubbornly needed to finish something at high cost(s), this will resonate.
