Surprise: the Summer Holiday update is available now for the Festive Mash-up Patch! This update adds support for Chaos Cubed & Tiny Takeover as well as more coverage for features from 1.20, 1.21, and earlier drops. Showcase linked below!

The fact that Mojang still hasn't clarified an upgrade price almost guarantees that it'll be paid in my mind.

Manifesting concrete walls and terracotta slabs/stairs/walls as the final features πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ Concrete walls are a necessity. If sulfur and cinnabar get 3 each, we can have some concrete walls too!!!

This also made me realize that I forgot to update Preview Hider for the first time ever! There will also be a Preview Hider update with the new Chaos Cubed panorama. I'll also have an update ready soon for Environmental Water for 26.1 and 26.2 compatibility.

This is a wild change to sneak into pre-release 5. I also wildly dislike it, because it means: - Command blocks/functions still cannot change default game mode - The same command now silently has different behavior based on something that isn't clear - We are unlikely to see it fixed (pre5 is late)

Somehow, I didn't realize that /defaultgamemode is *already* a command. This makes the change even stranger. I also really want this command on Bedrock. Even the Script API can't change the default game mode.

Yeah, this update is already a banger. Wool slabs and stairs are really funny. They're the most out-there of the three colored blocks (concrete, terracotta, and wool) to receive variants, yet they got them first. If we don't see concrete and terracotta variants too, I'll be pretty sad.

Mojang choosing which biomes new music should play in Seriously, biome/music cohesion is nonexistent. Why even bother having biome-specific tracks when you're going to add one song to 5+ biome playlists and the general overworld music?

It's still wild that there are so many bricks in Minecraft now, and only ONE is in a cool color, which doesn't even use a square brick style. Can we not have deep blue bricks? Green bricks? Purple? So many gorgeous options are missing :(

Despite these variety complaints, I really like the look of Cinnabar. I'm glad to have desaturated red bricks that don't have a mortar texture on them. I will probably never use Sulfur if it keeps its current look. The gold-esque look from Live was more interesting. The new one just looks dirty.

This is the best argument for concrete slabs, stairs, and walls in my eyes. There are so many issues with variety that just disappear if we have concrete in all the expected block varieties. It would be amazing if we had terracotta slabs, stairs, and walls too, but I doubt that will ever happen.

It's almost the exact same situation with walls. Thankfully, slabs and stairs at least have oxidized copper and warped wood, but still, where is sky blue? Where is purple??
