Is the "Be Ready" campaign an attempt to boost sales of bottled water, crisps and Spam? Doesn't having Wes Streeting tell people what to do make you feel much less likely to do it? Are they just dusting off "Protect and Survive"?

Well that sounds just great, but who's going to enforce it? Are there going to be "Anti-Sodcasting Wardens" on every bus and several on each train? Are bus drivers going to be expected to deal with it? Or is all the film and audio footage going to be passed to Palantir to identify the sodcasters?

A Well-known Individual stands in the High Court, holding a gun to his head. "Don't name the Well-known Individual!", the Well Known Individual says, "Or the Well-known Individual gets it!!"

Kemi Badenoch’s flagship party conference policy document overestimated the cost of net zero by nearly £500bn, seemingly after someone accidentally double-counted figures on a spreadsheet. Accidentally... on purpose? www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Too bad for whichever one gets on the £50 note as when did you last see one of those? Given that all the £10s and £20s, and almost all the £5s to have passed through my hands still have QE2 on them it'll be a while before any of these are in circulation. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

Who designed the new Jag? Did they hire the same guy who designed the Cybertruck? It's a bloated monstrosity aimed at bloated monstrosities with no sense of style. Malcolm Sayer must be spinning in his grave.

"Farage suggests Reform UK's internal inquiry will clear two aides suspended after undercover C4 probe" 1920: The Mafia's internal inquiry will clear Al Capone after The Untouchables probe.

Section 11 of the Aviation and Maritime Security Act 1990 says that "A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for life". Here's hoping!

Streeting: “That is why Britain built the finest naval power in history. In the 20th century it was control of the skies, and so we built a world class air force to protect us. This century will depend on control of space.” Like Britain has any chance of doing that. Delusion!

Thursday I took a 1947 folding camera loaded with a 2 year out of date roll of HP5+, today during development I exposed it all to light for a few seconds before continuing development. I did kind of screw that up a bit but still the results when I scanned them are interesting.

With Doctor Who up for tender, what next? The Disney deal having fallen through means no Muppet Doctor Who. Maybe get Science Saru to do an Anime Doctor Who? Maybe reboot the whole damn thing to do away with messy 'canon' which the original writers didn't give a stuff about anyway? Or just leave it?

We know what the cryptotwats expect for their handout to frogface, they expect full control over a country where there are zero checks, balances and laws governing their dodgy dealings, and no taxes on what they rake in.
