New rule—if you are going to be lazy and title your sequel “Title of Original II”(Practical Magic II, Devil Wears Prada II, Mortal Kombat II etc), you are now required to tack on “Electric Boogaloo” at the end.

Family is traveling in New Zealand. Today we saw these enormous eels that live in fresh water until they are about 80 years old, then swim thousands of miles to spawn (the currents bring the larva back). This one was at least 4 feet long. The world is a strange and wonderful place.

I’ve been hearing a lot about #professionalAgitators lately and was wondering how you attain professional status in that field? My son has shown some real talent as an amateur agitator, but how does he take the next step? Is there a certificate program? A National Association of Agitators? (NAA)?

UPenn faculty condemn Trump administration’s demand for ‘lists of Jews’ - The Guardian Because when has a government demanding lists of Jews ever led to a bad outcome? Also, why would the university even know which faculty are Jewish? I don’t ever recall sharing that info at multiple schools.

Another lousy thing about the #AlaskaAir changing its reward program. No longer able to use companion fare for multi-city flights. Had been doing what was essentially a round trip w/an extended layover for 10+ years using it, but the new system won’t allow it. Boo! Might not keep the card.

Regime officials’ emphasis on the idea that any questions about the efficacy of bombing of Iranian nuclear sites are an insult to the pilots who carried out the mission is revealing in 2 ways. 1/it transfers the officials’ massive insecurities onto the pilots, who likely don’t care about media;

2/it implies that any failure to have actually destroyed the sites was the result of poor execution by the crews, as opposed to the idea that the crews executed their mission, but that the officials’ plans and expectations were ill-formed and unrealistic.

I know this won’t actually happen because the parties involved are a pack of self-interested cowards, but it would be pretty funny if the law firms that gave into the #TrumpExtortionRacket simply each did 20 hours of work and billed them at $5 million an hour.

They insist that #LeonSkum was never going to get a briefing on war plans with China. So how could someone ‘leak’ that info? They would have been lying to the press, which I believe usually gets you a promotion in this administration, not investigated.

After the election, we decided to take the money we had used to subscribe to one of the national legacy outlets that failed us so badly and to use it for a recurring donation to @propublica.org Would urge others who can afford it to do the same! projects.propublica.org/elon-musk-do...

Called both Senators and asked how they will explain to their constituents why they did nothing while #Musk and his flunkies illegally decided what payments #Treasury should or shouldn’t make. Especially when those constituents don’t get checks (which will be everyone when they crash the system).

the publication. Since no one knew exactly where the line was, they erred on the side of caution, muting anything that could be imagined to offend the Nazis. They self-censored. And since owners were on the hook for fines, they leaned on editors to keep away from ‘dangerous’ topics and ideas.

You are up to date.
