For the love of God, can the Canadian media please stop reporting Dear Leader’s optimistic pronouncements about “deals”? Who believes what he tells his base? Who believes a campaign promise that will evaporate in a week? Such a waste of time analyzing POTUS’s words. 🙄 www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

A reminder that this is the reason why Danielle Smith is desperate to gerrymander the next provincial election.

As the count continues, we are getting a clearer picture of the results from Monday's AB referendum: 1. Separation was trounced 2. No real mandate on the heavily pushed Q1-9 Big picture: the Urban-Rural divide Cgy+Edm voted No on all questions Rest of Alberta (combined) voted Yes

I heard a pastor in Texas recently tell his congregation “if you vote for Talarico you’re not a Christian.” If he were my pastor I’d find a new church and vote for @jamestalarico

Being absolutely pedantic, the "block" on their supposed "path to prosperity" was the collapse of global oil prices in 2014. It had fuck all to do with Trudeau.

From Danielle Smith's address last night. At the risk of being pedantic, it seems worth noting that a) it wasn't a coalition and b) the confidence-and-supply agreement was only in place for two and a half years.

There’s only so much you can do for a province that bases its identity and economy on a volitile and declining resource governed by international forces. #cdnpoli #ableg

To the people who are still talking about how Canada is "not taking Alberta seriously" -- what on earth are you talking about? The PM is an Albertan. The leader of the opposition is an Albertan. Our national politics revolve around Alberta's interests and concerns. What else do you want?

OMG! Always with the, “Canada has to get back to negotiating with Dear Leader! The USA is talking to Mexico!” 🙄 Right, like we have to rush and accept a bad deal before Mexico does. Lots of countries and blocks have signed stellar trade deals already. 🙄

Danielle Smith says that in a democracy, when you don't win, you need to accept the results. But she and her predecessors have spent eleven years caterwauling that the Liberals won federally. Just a complete fucking hypocrite. #PnPCBC

On CBC Power and Politics, Premier Smith has pivoted away from Liberal Ottawa to warning of the dangers of the NDP. A year till the Alberta election and PM Carney is still too popular to attack, and the provincial NDP are the ‘radical left wing fringe’ opposition. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

This is Alberta, so her message will probably work. Never mind NDP Notley scored a pipeline to the BC coast. Smith’s party couldn’t get that out of CPC Prime Minster Harper.
