LANTERNS began with Girl & the Goat and ended with "Right Back to It" by Waxahatchee and MJ Lenderman... truly what a show.

Just spotted a big cameo in the LANTERNS series premiere: beloved Arts District restaurant Girl & the Goat!

I'm 15 years late to the party but I've discovered the 2011-2013 THE LOONEY TUNES SHOW after getting Looney Tunes-pilled post-COYOTE VS. ACME and it's...incredibly good and funny!!

Went to the Lucas Museum tonight and it's extremely cool, both as a collection of amazing art (much of which would not have previously gotten serious consideration in US art museums) and as a physical structure. I'm overwhelmed by what I saw, but keep seeing folks' pictures of stuff I missed.

About to do a major drop off in my local Little Free Library, in case you live next to me and are interested in single issues of DC comics and the last couple of months of New York Magazine and In These Times!!

Saw someone wearing a bright yellow shirt and a forest green hoodie yesterday and I wanted to say YOU ARE DRESSED LIKE ROGUE (also wanted to ask why they were wearing outerwear in August in LA)

If you're wearing an orange shirt and green pants? You look like Aquaman. If you're wearing a yellow shirt and overalls? You look like a Minion. I don't make the rules. (Both of these outfits are surprisingly common to see out and about??)

Feels very telling that when there's a Wordle word that is tricky or obscure people are like "this game sucks! why would they do this!" instead of, "Oh, fun, learned something new."

ABSOLUTE BATMAN is going to be an animated series! Can’t even begin to tell you guys how excited Nick and I are to be working on this - so grateful to Warner Brothers animation and DC Studios!

JUST THE OTHER DAY, I thought to myself, "Did they ever reveal who was watching Steven Lang watch the X-Men in that early Claremont issue? I poked around and found that Brian had written an article about it five years ago, based on him being asked that question by... me. www.cbr.com/x-men-myster...

cbr.comX-Men: Who Was Spying on the Team Right Before Jean Grey Became Phoenix? You have questions, CSBG has answers! Just who was the mystery person spying on an X-Men villain while the villain spied on the X-Men?

I've seen Belle and Sebastian live 10 times, and pretty much every time they let about 15 fans on stage to dance during "The Boy with the Arab Strap." Last night...I was one of them. (My sister too!)

I've always loved the idea of a fictional Earth exactly like ours EXCEPT Superman is real and lives there

Tomorrow! It's Final Order Cut-Off for ABSOLUTE BATMAN #21! That means it's your last chance to pre-order copies at your comic book store before they all sell out (which is a guarantee for an issue as big as this one). Don't miss out! Covers by @nickdragotta.bsky.social and Frank Martin

This week on Top Chef, Laurence pronounced "wonton" the same way I have pronounced it my entire life (just as it looks, or, "one ton"), and I felt more validated than I have about just about anything in years.

This is the first store exclusive I worked on since I moved over to book sales here at DC—go to your local B&N and get it next week! Get a peanut butter cookie in the cafe while you're at it.

This tied the game AND inflicted psychological damage that the Thunder couldn't recover from for the rest of the game; beautiful and efficient.

It shouldn't surprise anyone but BARBARA GORDON: BREAKOUT absolutely rules. Taking Babs out of her element as Oracle and throwing her into a high-stakes survival scenario in Supermax that she CHOOSES to go into rules. Killer hook, great creative team, just a no-brainer to pick up.

Newsarama was a huge part of my career—and life!—and it's truly upsetting to see what's become of it and the larger online media landscape.

I've thought about this Onion article somewhat regularly for 25+ years now

The Onion@theonion.com

Archaeological Dig Uncovers Ancient Race Of Skeleton People https://theonion.com/archaeological-dig-uncovers-ancient-race-of-skeleton-pe-1819565415/

There's a brand of frozen burritos that lists like three different ways of how to cook it, and then in one line underneath is like, "If you MUST microwave this burrito, here's how to do it." As if the reason people buy frozen burritos is to spend 90 minutes cooking it in a conventional oven.

Me at 2:16 AM: wow it's crazy that KRS-One had such a meaningful cultural footprint that Sublime wrote an earnest tribute song about him when he was only 26 years old.
