Deeply alarmed by the ICE raids in New Bedford and the South Coast. Disappearing parents on their way to work or to pick up their kids from school is appalling and does NOTHING to keep communities safe. We must abolish ICE and stop this campaign of cruelty and terror.

In recent cases, it's not that AI somehow "escaped containment" or "went rogue." That's anthropomorphizing at best. It's more like if a Boston Dynamics robot dog nudged open an already open door and walked in.

It is interesting how many things we've learned about foodborne disease and specifically Cyclospora. Yet at the same time, it feels like we haven't learned that much. I hope we will recognize there were many, many mistakes made in this outbreak & that we learn from these mistakes. bit.ly/4fsGlG2

Video appears to show no damage to the vehicle of the man ICE killed in Houston, who had lived in America peacefully for 35 years, despite ICE's claim that he "rammed" an ICE vehicle and "tried to run over" an agent. These people are not credible.

David J. Bier@davidjbier.bsky.social

Video shows the moments before ICE shot a worker who lived for 35 years in the United States. It appears to show it was ICE attempting to initiate contact with his vehicle, not the worker attempting to "ram" ICE agents

ICE desperately wants you not to care about this story But we must. The killing of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a Mexican national striving for his American Dream, is a moral outrage, and a warning. ICE hopes you won't notice that mass deportation is back My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/ice-...

inquirer.comICE killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. They want you to be apathetic. Don’t be. | Will BunchSalgado came from Mexico, built the American Dream, sent his sons to college, and was senselessly killed by ICE.

Not a good morning. Absolutely disgusted by what went on in Belfast last night. Need some time off social media, won't be posting much today.

This is why this outbreak really worries me. It's far further advanced before it being identified, which means way more cases yet to develop and transmission chains yet to be interrupted. For those who have closely followed previous Ebola outbreaks those are the exact ingredients for a big epidemic.

This is correct Elon Musk’s legacy is >500,000 tiny coffins*—these are coffins of kids in low-income places of the world, so his actions were very fitting with the MAGA/MAHA Administration’s world view (*Brooke Nichols at BU estimates 750,000 deaths by Jan 2026, of which >500k were in kids)

💥🗳️ I’m speechless. Hungary’s parliamentary election turnout is 66,01% already at 3pm (2022: 52,72%). Budapest and other opposition-leaning cities lead the way. Final turnout in 2022 and 2018 were 70,21% and 70,22%. Polls close at 7pm. It could go well above 80% this time. Bad news for Orbán.
