The Golden State Valkyries take Game 5, 64-55, and are one victory away from winning a WNBA championship in only their second season. Valks held Dream to a season-low 29.2% FG. Game 6 back in Atlanta Thursday afternoon with the Dream's season on the line.

BREAKING: Game 6 of the WNBA Finals will be held Thursday at 12:30pm ET at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, sources told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. It will be a double-header with the Atlanta Hawks’ game, which will be moved to 8pm.

One proposal would move Game 6 to Friday, Oct. 30 and Game 7, if necessary, from Saturday, Oct. 31 to Tuesday, Nov. 3. That would mean three days between each of Games 5/6 and 6/7. The WNBA would support that proposal, but only if both teams agree to it, sources said.

There will be a Game 6 of the WNBA Finals in Atlanta. But nobody knows yet where or even when the game will be played despite a furious round of negotiations spilling into Sunday between the WNBA, NBA, Valks, Dream and Hawks. What we know, with @ramonaespn.bsky.social www.espn.com/wnba/story/_...

espn.comTime, place unclear for Game 6 of Valkyries-Dream WNBA FinalsWith the Valkyries forcing a Game 6 in the WNBA Finals, the Dream are working to resolve a scheduling issue that leaves the venue and time of the game up in the air.

All-WNBA selections have been announced. First team: Olivia Miles, Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, Breanna Stewart, A'ja Wilson. Second team: Paige Bueckers, Jackie Young, Rhyne Howard, Angel Reese, Shakira Austin

*The expectation as of now is that Stephanie White will remain head coach of the Fever, sources told ESPN. *When she returned to the Fever organization in 2024, Kelly Krauskopf never intended to stay in the role long-term, sources said, and anticipated staying on for only two or three years max.

This is official from Pacers Sports & Entertainment. The organization will conduct a national search for the team’s next general manager.

Can confirm Indiana Fever GM Amber Cox has been fired. (Confirming @AnnieCostabile). More TK.

“Through her two seasons with the Fever, Amber has helped us navigate the seismic growth of both the WNBA and our franchise,” Mel Raines, president and CEO of PS&E said in a statement. “We’re grateful for her contributions and wish her the very best moving forward.”

Angel Reese joins A'ja Wilson as the only players with consecutive 20-point, 10-rebound games within a single WNBA Finals.

More history for Angel Reese: She is the youngest player (24 years & 168 days) in WNBA Finals history with three straight double-doubles. Just remarkable.

FINAL: Dream 95, Valkyries 69. Atlanta leads 2-1 and has all the momentum in this series after blowing things open once the game was tied in the 3rd. Angel Reese was once more the hero with 21 points, 12 rebounds, but contributions across the board made this ATL's most convincing win of the series.

46-40, Atlanta, at the half. Angel Reese is once more willing her team with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals. That's her third-straight half of the WNBA Finals with that many points. GS's bench is keeping them in this between Janelle Salaun (11 points) and Tip Hayes (10)

It's no coincidence the Atlanta Dream have won 10 of 11 games since the FIBA break. The bulk of that stretch follows a team trip to Boca Raton, FL, where DeWanna Bonner was integrated into the team & the group came together before the most important part of the season: www.espn.com/wnba/story/_...

Tonight’s Finals Game 3 at State Farm Arena is officially a sellout, a source confirmed to ESPN (Front Office Sports first), and that’s for the entire arena, roughly 17k seats. A huge win for the Atlanta Dream org and WNBA after figuring out a way to get Games 3 & 4 moved to the bigger venue

The Golden State Valkyries take Game 1, 68-64. 26 points from Gabby Williams, the second-most in a playoff game in her career. 10-game win streak for the Dream dating back to the regular season snapped. They didn't score in the final 3:12.

On the day of the double-header, the arena will change out the court from the Dream one to the Hawks one. Koonin told ESPN it will take 3+ hours to flip the building, from changing the court & cameras to resetting the seats, etc. They'll do practice sessions to see if they can speed up the process

Koonin told ESPN that for Game 6 of the Finals -- the same day the Hawks are supposed to host the Cavs -- "the same team is working on figuring that one out." "A lot of people worked really hard to make this work, and those same people and that same energy will go if there is a Game 6."

The Dream’s stunning sweep of the Liberty laid bare questions about New York’s future — not just what roster changes they need to get back to the top, but whether Chris DeMarco can get them there. Thoughts from Stewie, Sabrina, Jonquel and Leo: www.espn.com/wnba/story/_...

espn.comLiberty's star trio says DeMarco's future 'not our decision'The Liberty's Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones fell short of offering a definitive vote of confidence in head coach Chris DeMarco, with each saying his future was "not our decision."

Jonquel Jones, Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart were asked about whether they'd want Chris DeMarco to return as coach next season. They answered it in different ways. All acknowledged it's not up to them. Ionescu at one point, "I don't know what's going to happen."

The two teams that combined to win the past four WNBA titles got swept in the semifinals. Two teams that have never before won a WNBA title -- one of which is an expansion team in Year 2 -- will meet in the Finals. The 2026 WNBA season. Just as we all drew up.

Stewart also spoke extensively about this being a missed opportunity, the team's inconsistency being an issue this year and at one point said, "this is not like cramming for a test. You gotta be ready to go from the jump."

The Atlanta Dream are heading to the WNBA Finals for the first time since 2013 following a semifinal sweep of the New York Liberty. The quest for their first-ever championship remains alive. ATL has won 10 straight dating back to the regular season

Angel Reese registered her first career postseason quarter with 10+ points, thanks in large part to a pair of 3-pointers. Atlanta is 12-0 this season when Reese has made a 3 in a game.

Angel Reese might be appearing in her first WNBA playoffs, but it sure hasn’t looked like it: "She's the motor. She brings the toughness. She brings the umph. We feed off her, and she gets us going every single game.” www.espn.com/wnba/story/_...
