Did y’all forget that the reason the country is so fucked is because of Brexit and the main front runner of that was Farage? Clearly not, because this result is a fucking abomination.

I’ve also heard that reform intend on cutting taxes or whatever across their winnings. All well and good saying that, but they’ve so far refused to, as far as I can work out, say where they’re getting that money from or what it’ll be cut from. Schools? Transport? Green energy…?

After hovering between $118 and $120 most of the day, Brent oil has rather quickly jumped over $122. I believe this is a 25-year high.

Jim Oleske@jimoleske.bsky.social

Twenty-nine days later, my lack of understanding of the stock market persists. Brent Oil is back over $119, and the S&P is somehow up 10% since the last time Brent was above $119.

I mean come on, bragging that you have six houses, five cars and six boats. I can understand multiple cars, I can even vaguely understand two homes but six god damn boats? Christ, the company I work for runs boats for a living and we only have three! Six fucking boats!?

New Saint Clara song - “Gosh I Luv It !!!” - Damn that’s a good song. If someone makes a remix of that, my god I might go weak at the knees

Hørte den nye sang fra Saint Clara - “Gosh I Luv It !!!” på P4, hold din kæft det de en gød sang. Kan ikke vente til nogen tager den og remix den. Det bliver 🔥

What’s going on with all the sudden military aircraft? AGREE32 AGREE34 and AGREE36 from Wick to Reykjavik. Being tailed by the RAF. Also an unidentified Boeing P-8A flying from NA to NA, but in the same direction as the other aircraft. On top of that a drone is tracking the coast of UAE

This Trump speech is much bigger than Venezuela. He talked about the Monroe Doctrine - about America’s sphere of influence. He’s warning that any country close to the US must bow to the needs of America or power will be exerted.

Trump just said, "We're going to run the country," referring to Venezuela. This isn't liberation; it's invasion and imperial occupation. It's against international law, against the sovereignty of a country, and in complete disregard of its people.

Erm.... Surely this now means he's calling this an invasion and not simply bringing 'justice' - You cannot just decide you are in charge of a country. That is what vice/deputy's are for..

Sahil Kapur@sahilkapur.bsky.social

TRUMP on Venezuela: "We're going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition."

He said the goal of the attack on a "heavily fortified military fortress in the heart of Caracas" was "to bring outlaw dictator Nicolas Maduro to justice". What about the other dictators? Oh that's right, they get the red carpet... Makes you want to be sick doesn't it.

I really hate listening to Trump, and do not care what he has to say. This was an illegal invasion and application of law on a area not under his control. But I'm invested in just how late is he going to be...

Really surprised and sad to hear about the collapse of Eastern Airways. As a frequent traveller on their KLM code share between Teeside & Grimsby and Amsterdam, I can say the crew are lovely and the aircraft’s kept in a good condition inside. Quite often plagued with delays

It’s funny how the problem around you can influence where you go on holiday. We have a bunch of Latvian and Estonian crew onboard, and I think without having known them I would never have booked a holiday to either country.

Moved to the iOS 26 beta on my iPhone having had it on my iPad since the beginning. It’s a much nicer experience on an iPhone, and so so much better than it was portrayed in the keynote I wanted to hate it. I actually kinda like it. CarPlay is also so much nicer than the preview images.

Calling media, and even saying some people in the group there; are scum is just not okay. Oh ye I would just love being called “Scum” to my face. What a vile specimen of a human being.

My news notifications this morning have been, in this order: - Trump claims total ceasefire - Iran says no agreement - Trump says ceasefire in effect - Israel says they have agreed to ceasefire - Iran launches missiles at Israel

This is fucking bonkers. What’s he gonna do? Blow her and the EU delegate up? Surely it is against international law, and is a war crime, to prevent the access of vital aid to a country. No matter how bad you claim they are.

I'm super disappointed at Yvette Cooper and Labour for pushing ahead with this. The Investigatory Powers Act was passed under the Tory government with widespread support in Parliament, but no government should be ruining end-to-end encryption like this.

Apple is pulling its iCloud Advanced Data Protection encryption feature in the UK after government spying demands. You can no longer enable ADP in the UK, and existing users will have to disable it at some point to keep using their iCloud accounts www.theverge.com/news/617273/...

@bethrigby.bsky.social When you are on the trips to foreign countries like Ukraine and the USA with PM - Do you get to experience the him in a 'causal' mode or do you only get to see him when it is business related. E.g. on the train, do you get to 'chill' with the PM, or is he off limits?

What a hell of an episode it was. Listen in the car, and couldn’t believe how fast those 40 minutes flew by. So many things I want to comment on, but I’ll wait to listen to it again. Elon, Trump, Starmer, Conservatives. Phew.

It’s wonderfully fascinating hearing Ruth be so critical of her own party. Its current and past leaders, the policies, the decisions. Being able to look in hindsight, we missed a trick with Theresa May. She was a powerhouse we all downplayed. Instead we landed with Boris and the ensuing shit show.
