Funny this should come up this week as I'm getting my books up for sale after getting the rights back. I'll have more to say down the line, but because I don't need developmental or copyedits for these, I've been able to do this for about $2000. I expect to earn back, idk, $10?

And I know that going in, I know I'm losing money on this. (To be fair, I'm also not planning to run any ads or paid marketing.) Basically, assuming an Anthropic payout actually lands in my bank account someday, that's what's covering the cost.

The maintenance guy came by and confirmed that there is indeed a problem with my apartment's heat, in that the rest of the building has heat and my apartment, uh, doesn't.

So fun update! It was chilly enough that I dragged out my space heater, which then overwhelmed the room's breaker thus knocked out electricity and internet during a call with my boss. 👍

My department is doing a big showcase call to the rest of the company today and we were all sent lavalier mics so we can look like Cool Influencers, but no one could figure out how to use them so they are strictly props.

Definitely the face of a Cool Influencer™. (Our GM says I look great with “all of that going on” which I assume means “how did you fit so many colors into one frame??”)
