I am angry tonight. Because tonight ICE shot a New Yorker. They shot a New Yorker while his five year old child was in the car. ICE makes this city less safe. We want them out. Now.

Then give your NYPD orders to stop them, and enforce those orders. You have ability and power, and people expect you to use it. Shut this down, now.

never mind a ginormous gun the ICE agent can barely carry as one misstep and that modified machine gun (modeled on the m-16 back in the day (might take off his foot and god know what/ who else not appropriate for the insanely tight quarters of New York City where there are apts, shopfronts, subway-

Except for the tiny little problem that the large majority of the cops are on the side of the fucking Nazi murderers. And that's true ALL ACROSS this sewer of a country. Unless we can fix policing (which yeah, will mean basically wiping them out and starting from scratch), this country is *doomed.*

And, should these law enforcement personnel all lose their jobs en masse...they are still gun owners with a grievance. I agree with the general concept here, but would suggest that an armed, independent collection of corruptable, untethered fascist malcontents would be equally dangerous to society.

Dude, this is on you, too. You have power and haven't used it to stop ICE/police violence. You were for abolishing the police, but got elected and played nice with them.

Spare us the childish tantrum. Mohran knows NYC restrictions on cooperation with immigration authorities force ICE officers to conduct arrests in potentially dangerous circumstances. After patching up the criminal, send him back to DR and let’s go catch some more.

Remove them or unleash your city to remove them, others will come to your side! Time to fight for those that can not fight for themselves. Begin with the arrest of Mullins

ICE is NOT legitimate law enforcement. They violate the Constitution with impunity. Local Police Departments should arrest ICE agents for breaking the law.

Enough is enough with this ICE bullshit. Stephen Miller needs to go. Trump and this entire administration is terrorizing our country. They are domestic terrorists. They cannot be classified as anything else but that.

The movie Onslaught is an interesting grindhouse parable I think aimed at DHS and ICE, metaphorically. It ends with the Battle Hymn of the Republic playing while the protagonist says it’s time for them to move. Pretty clear reference to getting out of Germany 1935 before it got worse IMO.

What is the situation regarding the weapons and assault rifles privately owned by US citizens? The members of the ICE Gestapo are private killers and, as such, mindless creatures with no rights of their own. They stand outside the law and are fair game.

Slandering the victim? No, there are so many victims and you slander by showing any support for this individual who put the lives of a 5 year old child, all of the officers, any person in the vicinity of his actions in jeopardy.

What’s happening in NYC may be a play for martial law before midterms. They’re trying to start a fire! Remember that this admin I is thirsty to harm the city that rejected him, the city that celebrates diversity, the city that had women flipping off tanks. bsky.app/profile/last...

NYPD didn’t feel like they were keeping the peace. The commissioner should also reconsider how she shared the victim’s record, bc that sounded like some mild justification for what happened to him and that child today.

I get that you can’t tell them how to do they’re job, but she seemed disconnected and NYPD won’t even try to jail and agent, even if it’s a temporary hold, for clear and evident crimes. Instead, they escort them to safety & fight people demanding answers. The people feel along w/ NYPD agains them

ICE agents are traitors and illegal criminals; they acted against the US constitution and it’s time to do something about them.

They can’t leave yet because they still have to fulfill Trump’s goal: Terror. He wants people terrified to vote or stand against him. He wants to fill the lives of black and brown people in America with terror.

The Republican Party is systematically dehumanizing American culture and politics. ICE kidnapping and killing citizens in the street. Concentration camps for children. Cage fighting in the WH. Public executions. Destroying science and education. Burning books. Epstein. MAGA. A USA moral collapse.

Angry, but clearly only angry enough to talk, not act to stop it. And begging the dictator killing your neighbors isn't acting to stop it, it's surrendering to fascism. Action, not talk.

Mayor Mamdani is Right! It’s past time to #AbolishICE #Congress Do your Damn Job and Stop this TERRORIST agency! Enough Killing!

You pandering piece of shit: "As of October 2026, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has not issued a dedicated standalone proclamation statement specifically titled for Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2026"

In their controlled brutality, reporting to an ideologically driven leadership, pretty much. Bizarre how USA is coming to look like Iran. And other corrupt autocracies. Tho Iranians have put up more resistance to their autocrats.

I want to see enforcement. Keep them out of our parking lots. Stop aiding their movements around the city. Stop criminalizing protest against them. Pursue legal action against the many many many cases of agent violence.

Has anyone made those who can do something about this aware? Judges, courts, human & civil rights bodies and organizations, Congress, attorneys, ACLU? People are being brutalized and abused — physically, mentally, sexually — in trump concentration camps and not a goddamn thing is done to end it.

Those are the only institutions still upholding Justice, and pushing back on this regime. And all are being targeted by it. Some leaders have been pushing back all along. But Dems need power to make any real changes.

And I get that. I've voted blue my entire life. I just voted blue (as progressive as possible) in the midterms. But I understand it to be a bandaid at best. I know that the only meaningful chsnge will come from fundamental, systematic change from the roots upward.

“ Get em out, I’ll get em out” This was his cry and that is all the racists heard. Hear this. We are having a Tribunal. The World will witness the return of consequences. Vote.

20 years in jail for every ICE goon. They are too dangerous to be allowed to roam free. We are having a Tribunal. It is all sentencing. I am all done. If anyone squawks about due process they can get on the prison bus too.

Ok.. nothing you said here makes any sense. National Guard cannot be used as law enforcement against federal forces, for the simple fact federal law is supreme, federal LEO have local immunity and the National Guard can be federalized by the Commander in Chief at any time.

Also, "convict them for war crimes against immigrants"? So, you are implying illegal immigrants are an invading military force? Because war crimes only exist in the context of a.. war? I mean, that's a helluva way to frame it. And who would prosecute these supposed war crime violations? The UN? xD

The best way for NYPD to help is to stick with rendering aid to everyone but ICE agents. If they see an agent having a hard time, just look away or leave the scene and let the new yorkers that vastly outnumber the agents take care of the pests.

NYPD seemed to directly facilitate ICE leaving the hospital. That is completely unsurprising but also completely unacceptable. Mamdani definitely wants ICE out of NYC, but that seems unlikely when the NYPD army is controlling protesters for the feds. It’s not “derailing” anything to say this!

Nothing you said changes the reality of what I said. Taking your eyes off ICE to focus on other bad things provides cover for ICE.

Hire every single citizen in the city with arrest power against ice and violent police You have laws against violence. Ice and violent police are the criminals when they are breaking that law

unfortunately, NYPD is a VERY entrenched and powerful institution. doing something about them is going to be a long, slow process of chipping away. not to say it should not be done, just trying to temper expectations to the reality of the matter.

Police aren't there to protect us. They never have been. They're there to protect the interests of the capitalist class. They're not legally obligated to help us. That's how Uvalde happens. That's why they can just decide to not do their jobs for weeks on end. Laws mean fuck all.

mappingpoliceviolence.orgMapping Police ViolenceLaw enforcement agencies across the country are failing to provide us with even basic information about the lives they take. So we collect the data ourselves.

👉 Making a Punishable False Written Statement (NY Penal Law § 210.45): Signing a document containing a notice that false statements are punishable by law is a Class A Misdemeanor.

NYC is under occupation by the police, like most cities. Politicians are desperate not to make it obvious that they can't control the police, so they do nothing, in order to make it look like it's a choice. They kidnapped DeBlasio's daughter, and he was white.

Well I don't want to abolish the police. I am sick of bozos and criminals stealing shit and walking around the streets and loitering in public places harassing people, threatening people and scaring people away from public life.

What exactly does he need to do? Order the NYPD to allow people to assault federal law enforcement? Draw the ire of state officials? Draw the ire of federal officials? Have you ever heard of federalism?

Maybe condemning them just as much for terrorizing the protestors and actively helping ICE. I understand historically the NYC mayor is typically afraid of their own police force but this is something in his control on some level. Even lip service would be better

I get it and I do wish he were more condemning of them, but I also think he's trying not to piss off the police because they are basically a military occupation of his city and they can disappear/murder anyone they want and almost literally no one can stop them.

"I had always hoped that this land might become a safe & agreeable Asylum to the virtuous & persecuted part of mankind, to whatever nation they might belong " GEORGE WASHINGTON TO FRANCIS ADRIAN VAN DER KEMP | MAY 28, 1788

If your big plan to protect your citizens is still a sternly worded call to your buddy "President Trump," I'm gonna fear the old guard Dems got to you and whacked off those stones, bruh.

just gonna say what everyone's about to post, but you'll have to sincerely look into whether tisch should stay as commissioner, especially as NYPD throughout the night coordinated with ICE after the shooting occurred (not during/before). this is your opportunity, do not waste it.

also while you might have had a long term strategy for later in this term or the next, things have changed, and it will now take the political courage to make the case to nyc residents on why tisch has to go now. or if she does stay, there has to be drastic, visible changes to the NYPD.

separately if the fears are about police supporting ice or not responding to mayoral command, pew research did just have a poll where only 2/3rds of republicans + leaners support trump, which is just abysmal. this is genuinely your best opportunity here, otherwise it could become a inflection point.

the way this is blowing up bc people are sick of trump’s gestapo shooting parents in cold blood. nyc won't tolerate these state-sponsored thugs. get them TF out!!!

Send SWAT after them. Force them to ID themselves and if they don't arrest them. No civilized country would EVER tolerate masked men patrolling its streets would guns and no ID rounding up and gunning people down in the streets. Treat them as what they are: hostile invaders.

IDs, no verbal vouching from a Gruppenführer. ID check that verifies they are a citizen. And all checks from a secure location, not in the field, because fuck tying up patrol apparatus for these terrorists. Blotter to state their full name and occupation.

Nah, the field round-ups are the POINT: make them goddamned know the consequences for their actions. Take their IDs, disappear them into the system for a while, them dump them at a gas station with no phone, wallet, anything. Let them fucking know they're not wanted and make sure its filmed.

The terrifying thing about the "security" state is that it eventually views the very people it's meant to protect as the primary threat. When the firewall starts deleting the OS, you don't have a system anymore—you have a glitch with a gun.

How many people killed by ICE do we need before doing something to stop them? Why isn't the country rising up over these deaths? What the hell is wrong with us? I hope that NY arrests the shooter for murder.

As usual with Trump, an accusation of anyone else is effectively a confession of his own actual or intended crime – in this case, the very "American carnage" he imputed to the Obama administration in his 2017 inaugural blather.

ICEStapo'll only Escalate the Violence, especially post-cadet Bonespurtz's call for Iran to Wipe Out Los Angeles or maybe San Diego or perhaps NYC's next? they've GOT To get US fighting Back so that thedjt can Cancel his upcoming Landslide Defeat 11/3

Well, this is only PART of the reason ICE is murdering folks. Other reasons: 1/ To see how much murder and mayhem they can cause without provoking meaningful pushback. 2/ To normalize government violence. 3/ In preparation for violently blocking ppl from voting in elections.

Mr. Mayor, I genuinely love what your administration has done so far for NYC. But this, ICE, is something you can directly handle by mobilizing your city's police force to rid your streets of those masked goons and calling your governor for national guard support. Not doing so is complicity.

Start prosecuting ICE agents; this ends. Every state AG should have been prosecuting ICE agents in early 2025, all 50 AGs should be prosecuted for ignoring their oaths to the people and the Constitution. The feds can do nothing about a state prosecution.

They are trying but the government refuses to hand over evidence and the names of the ICE agents. I think only one has been able to be charged. His charges were second degree assault and falsely reporting a crime by a local county attorney in Minneapolis.

That is a fucking cop-out by gutless wonder AGs. The Nicole Good and Alex Pretti shootings, they had videos and citizen witnesses. AGs prosecute crimes every day without video and dozens of witnesses. Good was unarmed, Pretti was no threat in any way.

I don’t disagree that to us normal people what we witnessed should be proof enough of murder. But a lot goes into investigations in order to get a conviction. The last I read, Hennepin Co. just received a trove of evidence from the Good murder, including her vehicle, body cam footage etc in 7/26.

It’s difficult when their bosses obstruct justice. They get moved out of the jurisdiction quickly, just like they did with Jonathan Ross & others. They hide their identities. They unfortunately paid attention in history class (to not repeat the failures of the past that led to prosecution).

One major thing Trump’s regime and its supporters may seek is to use ICE to instigate civil unrest before the midterms. They want the optics of chaos and minorities tearing up the streets so they can cast themselves as the “good white law-and-order” side. Be wary and don't get used by the regime.
