I‘ve done an abysmal job of promoting our podcast. But we’ve just finished our second season of All That You Know where we (mostly) played @gshowitt.bsky.social ‘s Heart: The City Beneath. A really incredible story, very sad it’s over. you can find us anywhere podcasts are done or allthatyouknow.com

I can't overstate how awesome this was to read. Genuinely made my day. Obviously hard to be objective about something which is praising my own project, but Adam's post is really good and worth checking out. :)

Just about landing within my self-imposed deadline, I have posted a new blog: afcbrodie.mataroa.blog/blog/all-tha.... It's about All That You Know (@allthatyouknow.com) an actual play that just returned from hiatus, and I'm very happy to be listening to again. CW: body horror, gross descriptions

I really love Friends at the Table, and it's been extremely influential on me. But as time has gone on, it feels like its become afraid of its listeners. Particularly in later seasons there's a sense of hesitancy to let the material speak for itself. I might just be crazy though idk

I wanted to love it, but Avowed is an inversion of what I wanted. The combat feels pretty good, and the world feels big and explorable. But nothing seem to react to you at all; either in the narrative, or in the larger systems (like NPCs). It's hard to Role Play when you feel like a ghost.

the "one of many possible futures" caveat is an absolute blessing as a GM. If you make a prediction and its right, you're an incredible writer. If you're wrong well, such is the nature of time.... how very wise of u

one of the first times I played Qud, I mindswapped a multiverse clone of a psychic assassin who was trying to kill me. Unfortunately - I hadn’t realized that multiverse clones get sent back to their dimension after a few seconds. And Qud does not simulate alternate realities. I died.

Caves of Qud is all about ethical choices that matter. For example, I just saw a pair of tortoises beating a dog to death and my first instinct was to intervene, but then I reconsidered, as my high reputation with tortoises is not something I want to risk

I had a stunningly vivid dream where I was Austin Walker’s deadbeat Roomate who kept asking him to do shrooms. After a particularly bad day, he grabbed an entire handful of them and yelled “FINE MAN!” This woke me up

if you're worldbuilding its totally fine for apples not to exist, it's an entirely original world, of course there's no apples. but if people are going to read it (or play in it) sometimes theres gotta be apples, or cows, or horses. too many original things can get tiresome
