The year is 2026 and I keep getting "invalid password" errors from websites (from very large companies!) by using passwords that are too long. 99% sure they're truncating silently on save and then failing to match. Come to think of it, I should have tried truncating to like 20 chars to see...

I love the somewhat recent trend in software engineering of realizing that performance actually matters and that computers are so much faster than we think. The heaps of Python code I have to deal with are sometimes a bit demoralizing, but it's at least a valuable challenge. One day it'll be good.
