Happy news from Serbia and Brazil! 🇷🇸🇧🇷 From the students' movement in Serbia to Lula's victory in Brazil, people are showing the power of unity, determination, and collective action. Two countries, different struggles, one shared message: People have a voice, and change is possible! ✊

🇷🇸❤️ Wonderful news from Serbia! The students have won! ✊ A victory for courage, unity, and the power of young people standing together. Hope is stronger than fear, and change is possible! ❤️👏 #Serbia #StudentPower #Victory #Hope

Better start looking for the exits, then. That flash-in-the-pan Reform fantasy is fading fast. But what exactly terrifies these Talk and GB News "journalists"? Accountability? Real jobs? Or the horrifying prospect of their outrage-for-profit grift finally going bust? 👇🙄

Translation: We've made a big mess of things. Bigots keep getting exposed, Reform shedding councillors, resignations piling up. BUT our antisocial behaviour crackdown in County Durham got praise, so why isn't ITV ignoring everything else and throwing us a parade?

This is spectacularly pathetic argument, even by Isabel Oakeshott standard. Not “these people don't represent our values”, not “we demand better”, just “if you looked hard enough, you'd find other bigots.” Congratulations. You've officially reached the bottom of the barrell .

What exactly is shocking, Ms Lambert? That most people can distinguish Judaism from Zionism? Or that so many are appalled by Israel’s treatment of Palestinians? Is the shocking part the public's moral clarity, or the fact that it doesn't align with your views?

I have two questions: Are we talking about the same Zack Polanski under whom Green Party membership has more than tripled? Since when did a national opinion poll determine who leads a party rather than its own members? 🤔

Patrick Spencer you're an elected MP, not an internet troll. Baseless accusations of racism and antisemitism are disgraceful. Zack Polanski is Jewish and has publicly condemned antisemitism. Being Jewish doesn't put anyone above criticism, but such serious allegations demand evidence.

Congratulations to Labour on the win. And a special “congratulations” to the journalists who declared Zack Polanski a failure and his voters fools before a single ballot was cast. Predicting an election is journalism. Trying to dictate its outcome is propaganda. Know the difference.💚

Amra Watson@amrawatson.bsky.social

Just two headlines and the election results aren't even in yet. The narrative? Zack Polanski failed. Voting for him is a waste. Not a single election result in. The British media have already declared the loser. That's not journalism. That's manufacturing defeat before a vote is counted.

With a crucial by-election on the line, the attacks on Zack Polanski are ramping up: ridicule, distortion, outrage. The stakes are clear now. Here’s hoping voters cut through the noise and make their own choice.💚

A “psyop”? Thatcher: out in 1990. Labour: 1997–2010. Then 14 uninterrupted years of Conservative government. Five Tory PMs, including your catastrophic 49 days. If Britain became a “failed state,” your party had 14 years to prevent it, reverse it, or own it.

Hmm 🤔 there it is again: rage first, facts later. The real clown show is getting furious at a headline you didn’t bother to check. “Mother and father are unacceptable” is clickbait distortion, not what the guidance says. Outrage is easy. Reading takes effort. 🤡🎪

Will Nigel Farage ever learn? No matter how tempting it is to shoehorn small boats into every story, serious allegations require serious evidence, not insinuation. National security deserves facts, not fearmongering and political theatre.

What a poisonous distortion. “Safe, legal routes for Afghan women fleeing the Taliban and Palestinians fleeing Gaza” becomes “activist charities handing us bogus asylum seekers.” The right-wing outrage machine never changes: distort the facts, demonise refugees, harvest the anger.👇

“Commie.” Really, Liz Truss? That’s your contribution to a debate on EDMO reform? No argument, no substance, just a lazy insult. Then again, perhaps thoughtful debate takes longer than your time as PM.

Why is it that whenever something worth debating, like EDMO reform, comes along, some on the right sprint straight to Stalin, communism and mass killing? That’s not debating policy. That’s ideology replacing thought. 🙄

Hmm, Helen Whately… there’s that phrase again: “MORALLY WRONG.” £37,761 of taxpayers’ money in ONE YEAR, just for Helen's accommodation. When ordinary people receive public money, it’s a moral failing. When Helen does, it’s an “expense.” How terribly convenient.

You can’t argue with stupid. But is she really this stupid, or just riding the gravy train? Danny, Tommy and the rest have turned grievance into a business model: feed people outrage, keep them angry, keep them clicking. And apparently “WHO OWNS THE BOAT?” is today’s intellectual Everest. 👇😒

😂😂😂 There’s optimism. Then there’s wishful thinking. Then there’s delusion with a subscription fee. And then there’s The Telegraph. “I bet Kemi Badenoch will win a snap election.” Daniel, mate, at this point it’s not political analysis. It’s fan fiction with a comments section. 😂

Palestine isn’t a mystery, Neil. Territory: West Bank, East Jerusalem & Gaza. Borders: 1967 lines, subject to agreement. Capital claimed: East Jerusalem. President: Abbas. PM: Mustafa. Legal basis: self-determination, recognition & international law. Occupation doesn’t erase statehood. 👇😒

Reform promised change. South Tyneside didn’t have to wait long to discover what that shiny new word meant. All 10 Stanley’s nurseries: closing. So forget the slogans. Forget the sales pitch. This is what Reform’s “standing up for working people” looks like in practice. 👇

Farage banging on about “free speech” is rich. His former ally Nathan Gill took money to push pro-Russian messages. And Farage? I thought it took somewhere between £5m and £36m to secure his services. So which bit of this speech is actually “free”?

A year ago: Reform 311 seats. Now: 123. Even Tory + Reform falls short. Farage at No.10? Far from inevitable. The bubble is deflating. Make it burst.

Knocking on doors all year doesn’t earn trust. You’re politicians, not Amazon delivery. 📦 Trust comes from policies, actions and transparency about who funds you. Voters deserve to know who’s paying for all that knocking.

Helen Whately is at it again. What’s “morally wrong” exactly? Working people needing UC because wages don’t cover the bills? Disabled people? Carers? Parents? Poverty isn’t a moral failure. Treating people who need support as one is.

I posted this on X, simply calling for a stronger left opposition. I got obnoxious abuse, with “deluded” for me and “lunatic” for Polanski among the milder replies. Musk’s X monetises grievance: rage at immigrants, trans people and the left, while billionaires pocket the wealth and dodge the blame.

Amra Watson@amrawatson.bsky.social

A Zack Polanski win would matter. We need a strong left opposition, more Green MPs in Parliament, and Zack Polanski right at the heart of it.💚

Vote Green on October 8th in Holborn & St Pancras 💚

Put that way, it sounds damning. That’s what happens when you leave out the fact that changes the entire picture: A CLAIM IS NOT AN AWARD Only around 34% of cleared new claims actually result in one. Big numbers make great slogans. Context makes them mean something. 👇🙄

That can only be a good thing. If Britain’s billionaires are losing confidence because the country won’t dance to their tune, perhaps we’re finally getting somewhere. A democracy isn’t a billionaire loyalty scheme. 👇

Sheeran’s being “cancelled for neutrality”? Two problems: Where was that neutrality when he performed & raised money for Ukraine? Ed knew Macklemore’s politics before booking him, then dropped him after two stadium shows over Palestine. That’s not neutrality. That’s billionaire pressure winning.

Karma comes in many forms. Sometimes it’s poetic justice. Sometimes karma assembles the guest list. And sometimes it’s Ed Sheeran looking up to find Tommy Robinson, Boy George and every right-winger in sight waving from the front row.

To everyone claiming politics has no place in music: have you ever listened to music? Music has always confronted war, power and oppression. Ed Sheeran publicly stood with Ukraine. So spare me the “no politics” defence. Politics was fine until it threatened the payday.

Ed Sheeran chose the payday. The others proved their principles weren’t for sale. Macklemore spoke. Aaron Rowe walked. Lukas Graham walked. Finneas walked. Beoga, his own touring band, walked. Money. Exposure. They walked away from all of it. That’s backbone. Massive respect to every one of them.

Ed Sheeran on Ukraine: “I stand with you.” Ed Sheeran on Palestine, when venues and money are at stake: “I don’t take sides.” That’s not neutrality. That’s a greedy coward discovering his principles have a price tag.

Now even Doctors Without Borders is in the firing line. Why? MSF witnesses Gaza & refuses to stay silent. They say Israel devastated Gaza’s healthcare system, call it genocide & demand the UK end its support. Ban the press. Smear the witnesses. Then call the darkness “no evidence.”

Footnote: Delo previously pleaded guilty in the US to wilfully violating anti-money-laundering laws over BitMEX and paid a $10m fine.🤔 But sure, leave that bit off the inspirational poster. “Take back control”= sell it to the highest bidder They don’t think we’re stupid. They’re counting on it.👇

A reminder that Delo previously pled guilty in the US to violating money laundering protections and agreed to pay a $10 million fine for "willfully” breaking the law with his BitMex platform, which was described as "in effect a money laundering platform.” This is who owns Farage now

Look at this response. Does Tice not see the contradiction, or does he think we won’t? A crypto billionaire gives Reform £36 MILLION to “fight the establishment”. How very anti-establishment. What’s the £36m for, Richard, fighting for the little guy? Come on, even satire can’t keep up.

Shelagh Fogarty’s coverage of Israel increasingly resembles advocacy with a microphone. When Palestinian suffering becomes background noise and excuses become reflexive, decency isn’t merely absent. It’s been abandoned.

Zack Polanski can win. And he should. Andy Burnham’s rise didn’t happen in a vacuum. The Greens helped force Labour to wake up: chasing Reform voters is costing them support. We don’t know how far Burnham will go. That’s why a strong left opposition, more Green MPs and Zack Polanski matter. 💚

Zack Polanski@zackpolanski.bsky.social

We can win in Holborn & St Pancras. The Guardian followed me around and heard for themselves how excited people are to vote Green! www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

“It’s Reform or the country is lost.” Translation: Reform has run out of arguments, so now it’s selling panic. When fear is your strongest policy, you’re not saving Britain. You’re just hoping nobody notices how empty the sales pitch is. 👇🙄

A few people asking about Reform UK's proposal to increase the personal allowance to £15k. Their maths appear to be out by about £2bn, and they may accidentally be creating a new top marginal rate of 69.5%. Thread:

This is Reform’s great “defence of women” and “free speech”: a room full of cultists preaching about protecting UK until an actual woman says something they don’t like. Strip away the flags & manufactured outrage,& all that’s left is a cult of hypocrisy, dressing authoritarianism up as patriotism.

Dave Vetter@davidrvetter.bsky.social

Content warning: Multiple men violently assault a female protester at Reform's conference at the Birmingham NEC, to the visible delight of Nigel Farage.

I can only assume news reaches Dubai four months late, so Isabel Oakeshott is still catching up on May’s election news. Or maybe this time the indefensible was simply too indefensible, so she went with deflection. 👇🙄

Reform called it a “hoax”, “hit job” and “establishment attack”. Yet Farage’s senior aide and Reform’s head of policy have stood down pending investigation.🤔 The hypocrisy is breathtaking. You can’t scream “corrupt establishment” for years, then cry “hit job” when the spotlight turns on you.

It's explosive. It's also completely predictable. To see Reform say on camera that Electoral Commission is useless and toothless wasn't shocking... it's plain to see.
